A question for the reverts here...
Was there a particular moment when Islam stopped being something you were learning about and started feeling like home?
Maybe it was your first salah, your first Ramadan, hearing the Quran, making dua and feeling heard, or simply a moment you can't really explain.
I'd genuinely love to hear those moments.

Assalamu alaikum everyone.
To be very honest, there was never a first that felt like "home". Every first was hard, subhan'allah 😊 praying with a sheet of paper, just practicing the movements, the first Ramadan- I thought this is not possible, and so on.. only by building my relationship over nine years made me feel home. And with the love that grew for Allah SWT the more I felt home, Alhamdulillah.
But I had a moment long before I reverted. It was at my sister's wedding, who was already a Muslim at that time. An imam was reciting the Qur'an and I didn't understand a word, but subhan'allah I was sitting amongst all these women and I was crying. I'm not talking about tears.. it was sobbing and I couldn't stop. And the women afterwards gathered around me to assure me that he didn't say anything sad ..😀 And I wasn't sad. They weren't tears of sadness nor happiness. I felt Khushu without even knowing what it is, subhan'allah.

Looking in the sky and saying shahadah while it's raining, that's what got me.

It felt like home to me right from the start. Alhamdulillah
