As a syeda,

I hope everyone here knows that syeds/syedas are not REQUIRED to marry a syed and syeda. Please find the partner that is meant for you, especially if you live in the west, its already hard as it is to find someone whose a decent muslim, A DECENT MUSLIM!

not even a shia muslim, LET ALONE SHIA SYED MUSLIM.

Ik imma get hate for this but someone has to say it.

Why is it hard to find a practicing Shia Muslim girl. I’m a Syed Shia , practicing guy. For some reason I’m too practicing for many girls. All I do is pray 5 times a day, read Quran and don’t listen to music. I don’t drink. Don’t commit Zina and observe hijab of my sight. I ended up in divorce because a) she wanted a greencard b) she wanted someone more open minded. I never demanded her to wear hijab just demanded that she should not be wearing see through or revealing clothes.
While I have met Sunni girls who are really into Islam and practice their faith to the best.

I recently came across a post saying that ā€œdivorced girls nowadays have expectations that touch the sky.ā€
But honestly, don’t divorced women have the right to have standards and express what they want? Especially someone who has already been through a difficult marriage and knows exactly what she does and doesn’t want to experience again.
If a 23-year-old woman was married for only three months and chose khula because the man wasn’t right for her, why shouldn’t she have the right to be clear about her expectations for the future?
Having been through something once doesn’t mean you should settle for it again.

What do you guys think?

Are people here genuinely serious about marriage, or are some just here to pass the time?
