I’m 48 years young, mum of 4 wonderful kids, going through a divorce right now – still hanging around the Divorce & Marriage section too, haven’t gone anywhere, just joined this lovely group! 😂
A little about me: I’m fun, loud, outgoing, always up for a laugh, super chatty and friendly to everyone I meet! I have alopecia too – hair or no hair, it makes absolutely no difference to me, I carry myself with confidence and never let it stop me living my best life 🤍
And let’s keep it real… I’m definitely NOT a 10 in looks, but trust me I am a solid 10 out of 10 when it comes to personality! 😜
Also I love saying I’m all grown up, mature and sensible… but let’s be honest? I absolutely am NOT! Still a big kid at heart, act younger than half the people I meet, and I wouldn’t have it any other way 🤪🤣
The reason I came running over here? Everywhere else my DMs are absolutely swamped with lads UNDER 30 messaging me… and literally every single one of them says the exact same line: “age is nothing but a number”!! 🤣🤣
Wallahi, you would swear these young men are from abroad the way they carry on with this nonsense… but NO! They are 100% born and bred right here in the UK lol! 😭
Love, that “number” is over 20 years difference! I am old enough to be your actual mum! I was already raising my family and sorting out grown up life before half of you were even a thought in your parents’ heads! That is NOT just a number, that is a whole different generation! 😂😂

I’m on benefits right now, my ex left me with every single bill you can think of and even more piled on top… I literally have nothing extra to give anyone okay! This is definitely not 90 Day Fiancé, no sending cash, no favours, nothing at all! 😂

"Dating" in your 40s as a Muslim is like shopping five minutes before the store closes. You're still hopeful, but you're checking the shelves very carefully.

Can we all agree that your 40s are a strange but beautiful decade?
You’re young enough to have dreams you’re still chasing…
Yet old enough to know that peace is worth more than drama.
You stop trying to impress everyone.
You become more selective with your time.
You value sincerity over charm, consistency over promises, and character over appearances.
In your 20s, you thought you had all the answers.
In your 30s, life humbled you.
In your 40s, you realize it’s okay not to have everything figured out.
You learn that:
🤍 Not every battle is worth fighting.
🤍 Not every opinion deserves a response.
🤍 Not every person deserves access to your peace.
And perhaps the greatest lesson of all:
Happiness isn’t found in having a perfect life.
It’s found in appreciating the imperfect life Allah has already blessed you with.
So here’s my question to everyone in their 40s:
