Rebuilding yourself after life tried to destroy you is one of the most extraordinary things a person can do, and you are doing it.

Assalamualaikum everyone,
I wanted to share a thought connected to marriage sites, emotional understanding, and the way society sometimes looks at divorced or separated women with children.
I have noticed that on marriage sites, women with children are often judged very quickly. The moment people see words like divorced, separated, mother, or children, they sometimes make assumptions without trying to understand the person behind that profile.
What I find difficult to understand is that some men who already have children from a previous marriage still expect to find a woman with no children, no past, and no responsibilities. Of course, everyone has the right to have their own preferences, and nobody should be forced to accept something they are not ready for. But at the same time, I feel there should be more fairness and emotional maturity in the way people think.
A woman with children is not less valuable. She may have been through pain, disappointment, betrayal, responsibility, and loneliness, but these experiences can also make her stronger, more mature, more understanding, and more sincere. Sometimes, the woman who has carried many responsibilities alone is the one who understands love, respect, and emotional support the most deeply.
Having children does not mean a woman is looking for a man to take over her responsibilities. Many women are already doing everything for their children by themselves. Sometimes, she is simply looking for love, affection, respect, companionship, and a peaceful connection for herself as a woman, not just as a mother.
From a psychological point of view, constant judgment can affect a woman’s confidence, trust, and emotional safety. It can make her feel as if her past or her children make her less worthy of being loved. But no one should be made to feel that way. Everyone has a story, and sometimes the strongest people are the ones who are quietly trying to rebuild their lives.
I feel that if a man with children can hope for a new beginning, then a woman with children also deserves the same respect, dignity, and chance to be understood. Marriage should not only be about someone’s past situation, but also about their character, kindness, honesty, faith, emotional maturity, and the way they treat others.
I would love to hear respectful thoughts on this from an emotional and psychological point of view. How can people on marriage sites be more understanding and less judgmental toward women who are divorced, separated, or raising children?

Psychology helps us understand the mind.
The Qur'an teaches us how to nurture the heart.
One explains why we react.
The other guides us toward who we should become.
When I read the Seerah, I don't just see history.
I see the Messenger of Allah ﷺ meeting people where they were; comforting the grieving, correcting with wisdom, showing patience to the struggling, and giving every person the dignity they deserved.
Perhaps that's why his character continues to move hearts.
The more I study people, the more I find myself returning to the Qur'an and the life of the Prophet (s.a.w) not because revelation needs psychology, but because revelation illuminates the human heart in a way nothing else can.

When he dumped me, he made me feel so bad and guilty and he said he needed to stop looking for a woman to fix himself.
Today I saw his post and it gives me anxiety again. It feels like my heart is racing and I feel so worthless and worried.

the neurodivergent obsession with trying to figure out why someone did what they did. replaying it. analyzing it. asking your friends. asking your therapist. asking your friends again. because your brain literally cannot accept that some people are just cruel for no reason.
