About Depression
I hope you already know severe depression, you can't survive until you accept it and get treated, but what if you're apparently going on with life almost normally, yet, you feel powerless, worthless, useless all the time?
First of all, if you see this pattern in yourself, don't start to consider yourself a patient yet. Psychiatric diseases have a set of symptoms, which can exist mildly in normal people too. It's totally based on how well you're coping with it, that you declare it a disorder that needs treatment.
So, first, the symptoms.
It's a person, who doesn't want to meet or talk to anyone, wants to be alone but isn't happy when alone either, doesn't want to do anything at all, probably will fail even if they try to do something.
A person who feels like crying most of the time, might be due to a weight on their chest, a pain which is so frustrating that they wanna injure themselves physically so that the pain of the wound might dull the pain of the chest. In severe cases, might have thoughts that this emotional pain must end, once and for all.
In extreme cases, the person won't be knowing anything except the need to kill themselves.
It obviously depends upon severity of the disorder. The strategy is simple. If the person has just a tinge of these feelings, the pattern exists, true, but as long as you're doing well with life, responsibilities etc, might not need treatment.
However, if it's bothering you but you still manage to cope, then, if you have space in your schedule or money in your pocket, lifestyle changes and sessions with therapists are best, otherwise, taking some help from meds is better. Or one can go for a jumpstart with meds, to break the vicious cycle and then go for lifestyle changes and therapy.
In extreme cases however, combination of all of these is used and unfortunately there'll still be cases in which all of it isn't enough to treat them.

I’m losing years of my life to depression, and I don’t know how to get it back. I’m tired of watching life pass me by while I’m just trying to survive...#staystrong #nevergiveup💫🤲💪✨️🌮🥂🤦♂️💰💔🖤

Would you rather marry someone who has strong feelings for you or someone who consistently chooses you even when feelings become difficult?

Spent so long trying to look "normal" and fit in, that now I'm stuck in this weird space where neither do I feel like myself nor do I fall under the "regular guy" category.

Don't let life become so busy that you forget to actually live it. Notice the little things, appreciate the people who matter, laugh when you can, and make today more than just another day you survived.
