I wish I could cuddle all the furry animals in the world. 🐾
But I know at least half of them would bite my head off. 😣

I think I’ll give up on finding a husband and just add more pets to my home… 🥲

I wanted to post this as I have spoken to an imam and done my own research, but nothing is leading toward a direct answer. I recently rescued a leopard gecko from an owner who was neglecting him. I was then told by a friend that it was haram because of the Hadith referring to house geckos. However, that referred to house geckos only; no other gecko or lizard was mentioned. I asked an imam, and he directed me to a site mentioning that leopard geckos are vicious, which is why we shouldn’t keep them as pets. But if you do any research on leopard geckos, they are the complete opposite of that. I decided that because there was no evidence leading toward leopard geckos being haram or forbidden to keep, I will do my best to give him the best possible life.

I introduced my one year old to catnip today, I don’t think she liked it 🤷‍♀️
