Are you a single parent? Mums and Dads, don't feel alone. Talk to other single parents right here

Single-parent life: where you’re the chauffeur, chef, referee, storyteller, and personal assistant—all before 9 a.m. Somehow the tiny boss still thinks you “do nothing all day.” Here’s to the superheroes running on love, determination, and that mysteriously cold cup of coffee on the counter! ☕😊

I came on here looking for love, but somehow ended up even more heartbroken. 💔
I met someone on here and after just one conversation, he said he was deleting the app because he believed he'd found the one. I deleted the app too. We quickly got serious, he met my parents and my children, spoke about marriage, and reassured me that my children's autism and the challenges that come with it didn't scare him. He told me I wasn't alone anymore, and I truly believed I'd found my future husband.
Then one day my youngest had a meltdown. I put my phone on charge, focused on calming my child, and replied later. Instead of understanding, he accused me of ignoring him. I apologised and explained, but he said he hated repeating himself and didn't like being ignored. As there had been other times where I would reply later but this was always because I was busy with my children.
I realised I was apologising for being a mum. I told him that if my responsibilities were such a problem, maybe marriage wasn't for me. His response was simply that he didn't want marriage or a relationship either, wished me and my children well, and walked away.
Just like that, after all the promises, after meeting my parents and reassuring them that he was serious about marriage and building a bond with my children who he knows don’t have a dad in their life at all and get attached easily.
We haven't spoken since. I'm trying to move on, but what hurts the most is that my youngest still asks about him every day, and I don't know what to say.
I feel so bad .
