To every single parent:

Your child may not remember every sacrifice you made, but they'll remember how safe, loved, and supported you made them feel.

You're not just raising a child, you're shaping a future.

Keep going. Your love is making a difference every single day.

Single parenting.. where to begin.

A mammoth challenge, a great reward, a rollercoaster of emotion and a task so broad. Allah Al Musta’aan. The solace and serenity lies in the knowledge that Allah is The All Hearing, The All Knowing, The All Seeing- for all those hidden battles fought daily and those little gems flickering from time to time. Alhamdulillah for all that He decrees and for the cards we’ve been dealt.

Play on. Tawakkul is the key. 🤲🏻

Spotting the Signs: How to Protect Your Peace From Toxic People

A toxic person is someone whose consistently negative, manipulative, or self-centred behaviours undermine your psychological safety and leave you feeling emotionally drained.

Behavioural Red FlagsManipulation:

They use guilt, subtle threats, or gaslighting tactics to make you question your own reality and control your actions.

Shifting Blame: They never take accountability for their actions, rarely offer genuine apologies, and always present themselves as the victim.Disregarding Boundaries:

They ignore your explicit personal limits, continuing behaviours after you ask them to stop.Constant Drama:

They thrive on conflict, frequently talk poorly about others behind their backs, and pull you into unnecessary crises.One-Way Dynamic:

The relationship is entirely focused on their needs and validation, leaving you to give everything while receiving no support.

The Emotional Impact on YouPersistent Confusion: You find yourself constantly second-guessing your memories, your tone, or your worth after interacting with them.

Walking on Eggshells: You actively modify your behavior, hide your successes, or feel anxious about how they might react.

Energy Depletion: You leave interactions with them feeling frustrated, deeply exhausted, or worse about yourself than before.

This app really needs to do better, especially for those of us who are here for one reason only: marriage.
I don't date, and I'm not active on social media. A friend encouraged me to give Muzz a chance, so I did. I met someone who seemed genuine. He told me about his past, his children, and said he was looking for marriage. I accepted him for who he was, and we talked every day. We even met in person.
When I finally brought up Maher and having a serious conversation about marriage, everything changed. Suddenly, he said he wanted to "explore," work on himself, and wasn't thinking about Maher or marriage after all. Meanwhile, I had already deactivated my Muzz profile because I believed we were moving toward something serious. Later, I found out he was back on the app talking to other women.
It makes you wonder—how can you trust anyone on here when people can say all the right things until the conversation turns to real commitment?
What hurts the most is realizing that someone who presents himself as an honest, honorable man could lead another person to believe marriage is the goal, only to walk away when it's time to discuss genuine commitment.
To everyone who is genuinely here for marriage, I hope you find someone who is truthful from the beginning. No one deserves to have their sincerity or intentions taken for granted.
