Because They Had To Be 💙
Single parents are called strong,
but sometimes, they are simply tired.
They carry what feels too heavy,
wipe their own tears,
then smile because little eyes are watching.
They are not strong because they never break,
they are strong because they have to be.
Because someone needs them.
Because tomorrow still comes.
Because their children still need to feel safe.
So they rise, even when they’re hurting,
love, even when they’re empty,
and keep going, not because it is easy,
but because they have no choice but to try.
And perhaps that is their greatest strength:
not that they never fall,
but that they keep getting back up.
