Why do we make contractual marriage such a taboo when marriage itself is halal?
In Pakistan, men and women are often not even given the freedom to take time, understand each other, or decide when they are ready for marriage. Families put pressure on them to accept an arranged marriage quickly.
So what happens to people who have genuine emotional and physical needs but are not ready for a lifelong marriage yet?
If a contractual marriage is done in a halal and responsible way, why should society shame people for it?
Not everyone needs another lecture. Sometimes people just need a halal option instead of being forced into choices they are not ready for.
