Can getting to know each other just be summarized?
Like ask series of important questions based on values, future plans, relationship goals, finances, etc
Check for compatibility and alignment first
Then you know if you are for each other or not
Instead of going on chatting about something else
Just go straight to the point

Online dating starts with your profile.
I've noticed that many Muslim Yoruba men on this app aren't putting much effort into how they present themselves. A profile with just a few photos and little or no information doesn't give anyone a reason to swipe right.
Like it or not, people make first impressions based on what they see. Your profile is your introduction before anyone gets the chance to know the real you.
A few clear photos, a thoughtful bio, and a little intention can make a big difference.
Men, do better.

A few months ago, I was on a bus heading home after a long day.
The bus was crowded, and everyone seemed lost in their own world. Beside me sat an elderly man. We exchanged greetings, and somehow a simple "How are you?" turned into a conversation that lasted the entire journey.
He told me about his life.
How he lost his business and had to start over from nothing.
How people he trusted disappeared when things became difficult.
How he spent years blaming life for being unfair.
Then he said something I'll never forget:
"Life didn't change when my problems disappeared. Life changed when I stopped waiting for everything to be perfect before I allowed myself to be happy."
That sentence stayed with me.
Most of us are waiting for something before we allow ourselves to smile.
A better job.
More money.
A relationship.
A breakthrough.
A visa.
A house.
A certain number in our bank account.
We're always saying, "I'll be happy when..."
But what if that day takes longer than expected?
Does that mean we stop living until then?
That old man got off the bus, smiled, and said, "Young man, don't spend so much time chasing tomorrow that you forget to live today."
I never saw him again.
But years from now, I think I'll still remember that conversation.
Have you ever received life-changing advice from a complete stranger?

Picture this.
In the early ’90s, a young man falls hopelessly in love with a woman. They plan a future together. They even talk about names for their children.
But life happens.
His family wants him to marry within their tribe. Her parents refuse to bless the union because he isn’t financially stable. They fight for the relationship, but eventually reality wins. They go their separate ways.
Heartbroken, she marries another man.
Thirty years pass.
She’s now a grandmother. He’s in his 50s.
One afternoon, he attends a family event and sees a young woman across the room. She has the same smile. The same eyes. The same laugh that once made him believe in forever.
It’s not her.
It’s her daughter.
They start talking. He asks for her number. They begin dating. Months later, he tells her he wants to marry her. Eventually he realizes that this is the daughter of the woman he had once loved and never forgotten.
The daughter thinks she’s found the love of her life.
But everyone else can’t stop wondering…
Did he fall in love with her?
Or did he finally find a way back to the woman ( her mother)whom he could never have?
Would this be a beautiful second chance?
If you were the mother, will you allow such a marriage take place?

It’s heartbreaking that many of us have 300 to 500 contacts, yet when life gets tough, it’s hard to find 5 people we can truly counts on what’s even sadder is that some people won’t celebrate your wins or support your dreams while you’re alive, but the moment you’re gone they’ll write the longest tributes, be the first to post your picture.
Please, appreciate and celebrate the people love while they’re still here.

In Nigeria the first year of marriage, the man speaks and the woman listens. In the second year, the woman speaks and the man listens. In the third year, they both speak and the neighbors listen. 😃😃horladiz

What's something people think is a luxury, but you think it's a necessity?👇🏿
