I have a genuine insecurity about marriage, and I wonder if anyone else feels the same.

I’ve waited for marriage to experience intimacy the halal way, but I have some specific preferences and fantasies that might be considered unusual, and I’m scared my future wife won’t be comfortable with them.

The thought of waiting all these years, finally getting married, and realizing I can’t experience things I’ve always looked forward to genuinely worries me. I know intimacy isn’t everything in marriage, but it’s important to me, and I honestly think I’d struggle to be happy if we weren’t compatible in that area.

Of course, I’d never pressure my wife into anything, and her comfort and boundaries would matter just as much as mine.

But how am I supposed to know if we’re compatible before marriage? I can’t just bring up these things while getting to know someone without risking being misunderstood or seeming disrespectful.

Am I just supposed to marry someone and hope for the best? 😭

Does anyone understand what I mean, especially married people? How do you deal with this while keeping things halal?
