My 8 step method to comprehensively understand a person, within an hour.

I prefer this over aimlessly chatting. Also, if the person does not respond even after reminding 3 times within 2 days. I archive their chat/stop putting efforts. Ghosting affects me less.

1. Profile + photo scan. For obvious checks like grammar, basic red flags etc. 2 mins.
2. Opening/rapport. Chat with them. And set up a phone call. 10 mins.
3. Religious check. I'm not that religious, and I want to ensure mutual compatibility. 5 mins.
4. Intellectual compatibility - I want to establish if we're similar in intellect by asking what TV shows they like, their political opinion etc. I think this eventually correlates to respect. 10 mins.
5. Basic marriage compatibility - Career (it's frowned upon still by some men in India), living with in-laws etc. 10 mins
6. Phone call - just talk for 15 mins, about anything.
7. Video call - mostly for checking how they look compared to photo. 15 mins.
8. Meet!
