🇦🇺🕌 A group for Muslims in Australia, where we celebrate our faith and cultural diversity.
@abdulRahim93
Salaam everyone
Was curious if there are any Matrimonial events in Australia.
If so, could you share some? Think we might have to get off the screens for a change.
@Tarzbarbz
Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh 🤍
Alhamdulillah! I’m so incredibly happy and grateful to finally announce that my app is LIVE on both the Apple App Store and Google Play Store! 🎉🤍
You can now download the app using the link below.
The app has been specifically designed with reverts and new Muslims in mind, but born Muslims can absolutely benefit from it too.
The purpose of the app is to support Muslims who may not understand the meaning of what is being recited in Arabic during salah.
🕌 Real-time translation during salah
The app can translate the imam’s recitation in real time directly into your ears through your earphones.
If you find listening to the translation distracting, you can simply place your phone in front of you and read the translation on the screen while the imam is reciting.
🏠 Use it at home too
You can also use the app when praying alone. Recite the Arabic you have memorised, and the app will translate the meaning for you in real time.
This is especially helpful if you’ve memorised portions of the Qur’an but don’t yet understand what those verses mean. You can finally connect the words you’ve memorised with their meaning. 🤍
📖 Learn how to pray
There are also features designed to help new Muslims learn how to perform salah, along with other helpful Islamic features.
And there’s even a cute AI feature that I think you’ll love! 🥰
I would absolutely LOVE for you all to download the app, try it out and give me your honest feedback. Your feedback will help me continue improving it.
And finally, JazakumAllahu Khairan to every single person who has supported me, encouraged me, made dua for me, tested things, given advice or simply believed in this project throughout the journey.
It has been a LONG road to get here, but Alhamdulillah, we made it. 🤍
Please download the app, give it a try and let me know what you think!

As much as I hate having to say this, it needs to be said. I honestly feel most of us decide to swipe left or right purely on superficial grounds.
You can have an impeccable bio, have aligned interests and goals, have a similar background or a thousand similarities you may share, it's ultimately your photos and how polished you look that seem to determine your market value. Decisions are made in a split second and you'd be naive to think other elements of your profile have much bearing besides your photos and how you look in them.
I'll probably get a lot of flak for this and some of you may throw tantrums but this is the sad reality that no one wants to admit. My advice, especially to brothers, up your game with the photos or forever be ignored even if you're steadfast on your Deen or have good akhlaq or well spoken and what not. Take good pictures but please refrain from using fake or deceitful photos, that goes against the values of truthfulness and honesty which are a hallmark of our beautiful Deen.

Is it wrong to just want a decent life, a peaceful, happy life, to have a partner who is diligent in worship, responsible, and loves their partner. It seems so difficult, O Allah... 😫

Salam everyone hope everyone doing well
Anyone else coming to the realisation that both men and women here are in sort of a stalemate situation? where neither side is willing to offer the other any consessions and make room for even slightly less than ideal matches
I feel everyone envisions being with an ideal (or close to ideal) partner with no room whatsoever for what I'd consider imperfections that make us humans (as opposed to malaik 🙄)
Sure, you set your standards and don't compromise, more power to you but in my humble opinion, I believe we are ending up judging each other so harshly in this process. Just my opinion but Allah SWT knows best.
What are your thoughts? I'd like to hear more from the women and sisters here. Jazakallah khair!
@nabushi
can i ask how much mahr is fair to women and men in Australia?

The most dangerous relationships rarely begin with pain. They begin with the feeling that you’ve finally found “the one.” That’s exactly why it’s so important to pay attention to actions, not just strong emotions."

Hello I'm new here can someone please guide me about this app?
@hassan574404
One of the hardest things about growing up is realising that some people you loved were only meant to be part of a chapter.
You can miss them without wanting them back.
You can forgive them without forgetting what happened.
You can be grateful for the memories while accepting that the story has ended.
Not every person you lose needs to become a lesson about betrayal.
Sometimes they were simply part of your journey.
And that's okay.
