I've wanted to visit Canada since I was a kid. But it's always been last on my list, because of all the countries I want to visit, it's the country most likely to remain stable.

I've decided I want to go next year!

What month would be best?

Is a month long enough to see ALL of what Canada has to offer my nomadic yearning soul?

Salam all. What is the order of operations for marriage in this country?

As Muslims?

1. Talk
2. Talk to my dad
3. Meet in real life
4. But G wagon (for myself … jks jks)
5. Wait 3-6 months and keep talking and meeting outside in public and only in day light , or with family inside and with friends
6. Man goes to my dad and proposes

Idk how is it supposed to go?

And let the awareness of your sins inspire sincere repentance, forgiveness, and self-improvement—not despair of His mercy.

For true hope in Allah does not lead us away from responsibility; it draws us closer to Him through repentance, obedience, and trust.

🤍 O Allah, grant us beautiful expectations of You, sincere reliance upon You, and hearts that continually return to You in repentance. Forgive our sins, pardon our shortcomings, and never deprive us of Your mercy.

🌿🤍 من جمال حُسن الظنّ بالله…

يُروى عن علي بن أبي طالب رضي الله عنه أنه قال:

«حُسن الظنّ بالله ألّا ترجو إلا الله، ولا تخاف إلا ذنبك».

ما أعمق هذه الكلمات، وما أجمل ما تحمله من معاني الرجاء، ومحاسبة النفس، وصدق التوكّل على الله.

فلا تُعلّق قلبك إلا بالله، ولا تجعل رجاءك معتمدًا على غيره.

إليه توجّه بحاجاتك، وبه استعن على همومك، ومن واسع فضله ارجُ تفريج كربك وتيسير أمرك؛ فهو سبحانه بيده الأمر كلّه.

واجعل خوفك من ذنوبك باعثًا على التوبة والاستغفار وإصلاح النفس، لا سببًا للقنوط من رحمة الله.

فحُسن الظنّ بالله ليس رجاءً يخلو من العمل، ولا خوفًا يُفضي إلى اليأس؛ بل قلبٌ يرجو رحمة ربّه، ونفسٌ تجاهد على طاعته، وروحٌ تطمئنّ إلى عفوه وكرمه.

🤍 اللهم ارزقنا حُسن الظنّ بك، وصدق التوكّل عليك، وكمال الرجاء في رحمتك، واغفر لنا ذنوبنا وتقصيرنا، واجعلنا من عبادك التائبين المُنيبين إليك.

Are there anyone but FOBs on this app, like its actually frustrating. All I’m asking for is someone who grew up here too and its FOB central.

I know phone calls are many people’s preferred communication but I really hate them when I barely know a person. It feels so awkward, partly too, because I live with my parents (the guys usually live alone). I had a man ask me to FaceTime as a first chat 😵‍💫. I’m probably the issue so how do I get past this lol

I've been getting into the outdoors recently. I've always dreamt of going to places where hardly anyone goes. Antarctica? Why not. Nomadic horse riding? Why not. Camping under the stars in the desert? Why not. They'd all make good stories to tell. Life is all about stories for me, and InshaAllah in marriage I'd love to build a story with my wife.

It's a mix and match for me. I'm happy to have a lazy day in, but there's a world out there to explore. One day I want my grandchildren sitting on my lap while I tell them about the wacky adventures we went on. This world is beautiful, and there are far more good people than bad.
