Majnun: Then why won’t You help me? Why won’t You free my heart from this pain?

God: Even when you forget Me, Majnun, you can always call upon Me again. I never asked you to never fall; I only want you to remember that whenever you grow tired, you can rise again.

Majnun lowered his head. His tears were still falling, but for the first time that night, something inside his heart began to feel at peace.

Majnun: My Lord, I still want Layla…

God: I know, My servant… I know what is in your heart. Just ask Me that if her presence is good for you, I bring your paths closer together. And if one day you must part ways, ask Me to give you the strength to make it through those days.

That night, Majnun still loved Layla. But for the first time, he understood that he could love someone and still place his trust in God.
