To me, Islamic etiquette and honest communication naturally belong together. The intention must remain clear from the start: exploring marriage with purpose, not passing time. That means keeping interactions dignified, speaking openly about life expectations, and involving family or a wali as soon as alignment is felt.
Taking the initiative respectfully is not a compromise of modesty it is the very proof of seriousness. At this point, professional milestones mean very little without a quiet home to come back too.
