I’ve been thinking lately about the difference between being alone and feeling lonely.
We can be independent, have our own goals, work, friends, and a life we’re proud of — and still sometimes feel that something is missing. Not because we can’t be happy on our own, but because humans naturally want connection. Someone to share the small, ordinary moments with, to talk to at the end of a long day, to laugh with, and to feel understood by.
I think companionship isn’t about needing someone to complete you. It’s about finding someone who adds warmth, peace, and meaning to a life that is already complete on its own.
What do you think — can a person be genuinely happy living completely alone, or do you believe we all eventually need someone special to share life with? 🤍
