In a world that can sometimes feel fast and overwhelming, Islam reminds us of a beautiful, grounding truth: Mercy is at the heart of faith.
In the Quran, God (Allah) describes Himself first and foremost as The Most Merciful and The Most Compassionate. This isn’t just an attribute to admire; it’s a standard we are called to live by every single day.
Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) beautifully summarized this universal value:
"The Merciful One shows mercy to those who are merciful. Be merciful to those on earth, and the One in the heavens will have mercy upon you."
What does this mean for us today?
Kindness is a form of worship: A simple smile, a helping hand, or a comforting word to someone in need is deeply rewarded.
Universal Compassion: Islamic mercy isn’t limited to a specific group—it extends to family, strangers, neighbors, and even animals and the environment.
Inner Peace: When we choose to forgive and show empathy, we reflect the divine peace we all seek.
Let’s make an intention today to be a source of comfort and kindness to someone around us.

Where the Earth Remembers
I walked through a quiet forest today.
Nothing seemed to be in a hurry.
No tree stretched itself into tomorrow.
No young tree felt ashamed because it had not grown as tall as the old tree beside it.
Each one stood where Allah had placed it, growing at the pace He had written for it.
It made me wonder why we are so quick to measure our lives against someone else's season.
We apologize for taking too long.
We apologize for healing slowly.
We apologize for not becoming everything overnight.
Yet the earth never does.
It receives the rain when it comes.
It endures the dry days when they arrive.
Then, without announcing it to anyone, it blooms again.
Perhaps that is one of the quiet lessons Allah has scattered across His creation.
Growth that is rushed is often admired.
Growth that is patient is often forgotten.
But the One who causes a seed to split open beneath layers of silent soil has never mistaken slowness for failure.
Maybe we shouldn't either.

I’m always amazed at how few people seem to appreciate the sky. It’s literally a pleasure to watch the clouds, the ever changing colours of the horizon, the stars, the sun, and the moon.

What's your most useless talent?☠️
Mine: I have to match every person's face with someone they resemble then I feel peace.😌🥱
