A deep analysis on Jantar Mantar Protest. (You should read this for political awareness)
What is happening in Jantar Mantar and why? Who's doing all of this? Should Muslims join this protest? What's the risk of not joining this protest? I'll try to answer all these questions one by one. So read it till the end(Its very long read)

Students have been protesting at Juntar Mantar for over a month now. It began on 6th June by Abhijeet Dipke alongside other students organization demanding the resignation of Education Minister and reforming examination rules. It was mostly ignored by the media and people at large until Sonam Wangchuk joined the protest and began an indefinite hunger strike on 28th June. He was forcefully removed from the protest site and taken to the hospital to save his life at day 20(19th July) immediately after his removal the protest grow bigger due to police brutality and misuse of power. Sonam is still continuing his hunger strike at Safdarjung Hospital until his demands are heard.
Who's Dipke and CJP? Abhijeet Dipke is an Indian guy from Maharashtra. He graduated in journalism from Pune. He worked 3 years for AAP as a volunteer, primarily on social media and digital communication campaigns between 2020 and 2023. He recently went to USA to do his Master's degree in Public Relations from Boston University, USA. He completed his PG in 2025/26 and was offered many jobs in USA but he decided to return to India when his sarcastic meme turned into an online movement. This happened when CJI compared the youth of India to cockroaches. The comment by CJI became so viral that youngsters started using it as a symbol of resistance. Soon after the buzzword became so popular Abhijeet Dipke opened a meme website(Cockroache Junta Party). It was only a meme initially but when more and more people started connecting to his website he opened an Instagram and Twitter(X) page. Millions of frustrated indian youths actually started flowing his page overnight. He saw this as an opportunity to open a political party and become it's leader in India. This is when he turned this youth energy from online meme into an actual movement. He came back to India after finishing his PG to start a protest/movement against the Education Minister of India(Dharmandra Paradhan) using his power as CJP leader. His demands are quite simple.

1. Resignation of Dharmendra Pradhan.
2. Investigation into NEET paper leak.
3. Action over CBSE marking irregularities.
4. Comprehensive reforms on examination and recruitments.
   What happened next you already know.
   Now should Muslims at large join this protest? The answer is no, not right now. This movement might look big but it's very shallow right now, it's still at its baby stage. So wait for it to become bigger. Why am I saying this? Because right now the demand is very small and it's related to a very small segment of our society. Until you don't see more public issues being raised in this movement and more movements joining hands together against the broader government you should assume this protest will be over as soon as their demands are met which is not much from our angle and if the government listens to their demands you(as a muslim community) won't get anything in return. These same people will vote for them again without a doubt.
   Another big reason why Muslims shouldn't join this protest right now is because their presence, specially the presence of large muslim population and visible Muslims will in fact harm the protest and it's growth. BJP will use the presence of Muslims as an excuse to label this protest as jihadi propaganda and unleash another violence against them. The movement will die prematurity and Muslims will be solely blamed for it in every news headline from both sides. So wait for the right moment.
   People in India are suffering due to high petrol fuel prices, low employment, crony capitalism, rape, murder, lynching, farmer suicide, etc. All these issues of our society are equally important. And there is a frustration in public against them. Their frustration will take the shape of a movement eventually so wait for it. In the meanwhile it's not wrong for any muslim students and parents to join this protest if their life is directly effected by it. Muslim represention is important at every level for future bargain and also for shutting their mouth that Muslims didn't support them when it was needed to. But don't be at the forefront of the protest and become a cannon fodder for them. The police will recognise you from your dress and appearance and will attack you first to deter the crowd and set an example. It is your house which will be bulldozed not theirs. So join the protest but remain at the back or support it from outside like giving them food, money, shelter, etc. Now when should Muslims join the protest? It's when you see the pretest growing bigger and the movement start taking it's final shape like when you see protesters asking for the resignation of Nitin Gadkari, Nirmala Sitharaman, Amit Shah and Modi. It's only then when it's beneficial for all of us(muslims) to join the protest. So wait for the right moment. And you must join the protest when the moment becomes right. At that point not joining the protest will be too risky for our own community because they'll be offended by Muslims for not joining them, supporting them and then begging them for help against lynchings and bulldozing. You don't want to politically isolated from both sides. And if they make the next government I can guarantee you they'll hold grudges against Muslims for their indolence. They might even become more oppressive against Muslims. So you can't remain neutral throughout the movement. Right now you should observe the protest/movement, see where it's going and take your decisions based on its conclusion. I am sure you're smart enough to know when it's time for you to join.
