Why settle for less when Allāh ﷻ is offering you the best?
Jannāt al-Firdaws is the highest level of Jannah. It’s where the rivers flow from, where the Prophet ﷺ will be, where the closest to Allāh will reside forever. And Allāh, in His infinite mercy, made it available to those who sincerely strive.
The problem is we don’t dream big enough. We hope to just barely make it. We think al-Firdaws is for “better Muslims,” and that we should be grateful just to avoid the Fire. But that mindset can make us settle for less in our worship and our hopes.
Every ṣalāh and duʿā’, ask Allāh for al-Firdaws by name. You don’t know which deed will get you there.
You are asking the One whose خزائن are limitless. So do not aim low. Ask Allāh for al-Firdaws.

I once asked a sheikh what I should look for in a future wife.
He said:
Someone who protects her five daily prayers. If a person neglects the rights of Allah, it can become easier to neglect the rights of a spouse.
Someone who is good to her parents. How a person treats the people who raised them can say a lot about how they may treat their future partner.
And someone with haya, modesty. It is the quality mentioned in the Qur’an when one of the women approached Musa عليه السلام.
For a husband, the same principles apply, but the Qur’an also mentions two qualities about Musa عليه السلام:
Strong and trustworthy.
A husband should be strong for his wife and trustworthy with her.

There is a kind of courage that doesn't get talked about enough.
The courage to start learning Islam when you know almost nothing.
To pray while still making mistakes.
To pronounce Arabic words badly and keep trying.
To walk into a masjid feeling like everyone knows more than you.
To keep going even when people close to you don't understand your choice.
Allah doesn't ask us to know everything overnight.
He asks us to keep turning towards Him.
Every small step counts.
