Interpretation and explaining context are not the problem. Every religious tradition does this. The problem begins when an interpretation goes beyond explaining the text and starts adding meanings, phrases, or claims that are not actually found in the scripture itself. If someone claims to put Allah’s words above everything else, then the interpretation must remain consistent with what Allah’s words actually say. Adding ideas that contradict or go beyond the wording of the verse risks replacing the authority of the scripture with human opinion. Context should clarify the text, not rewrite it.
