How can you know that someone loves you 🫂

💔 Sometimes, we feel an emptiness in our hearts, a deep need to recharge and reconnect with Allah. We perform prayers, read the Quran, do zikr, but despite these efforts, sometimes this feeling persists. What can help us recharge is this soothing atmosphere where we meet with others, where we share reminders, where we read the words of Allah together and where we encourage each other in faith. 🥰

But it can happen that those close to us do not share this same quest. We then experience a spiritual solitude 💔 sometimes accentuated by the gap between what we hope for and what we experience on a daily basis.

But it is important not to lose courage. Everyone has their own pace, and sometimes, patience and the example we give can inspire those around us.

So we remember that, even in these moments of solitude, Allah is always close to the one who invokes Him. We continue to call upon Him, to seek ways to recharge our batteries, whether in scientific meetings, reminder circles, or even through benevolent exchanges... The path can be trying, but each step towards Allah is a step towards the light. 🫶🏼[Star][Rose]❤️💕[Heart]🌹

It's Not People's Criticism That Hurts the Most...
It's when your own family no longer understands your faith.

When you decide to turn back to Allah,
When you choose to pray on time,
To wear the hijab,
To refuse certain behaviors—
You think your loved ones will be proud of you, but instead, their gaze changes, and so does their tone.
They tell you:
"You're exaggerating, you weren't like this before."
"You're going too far, we're not fanatics here."
And sometimes, the most painful part is when your own mother, father, sister, or brother seem embarrassed by your practice.
You Are Not Alone
But you know what? This is nothing new.
Even the the first believers suffered from this.
"Do you think that you will enter Paradise without Allah having known those among you who fought in His cause and were patient?"
(Surah Al 'Imran, verse 142)
Yes, it's hard. Very hard, even.
But Allah sees everything. And He will never abandon you.
Every silence you keep to avoid conflict, every effort you make to remain gentle, polite, patient—it's noted. It's rewarded.
"اللهم ثبت قلبي على طاعتك، وارضَ عني، واهدِ أهلي لما يرضيك."
"O Allah, strengthen my heart in Your obedience, be pleased with me, and guide my family to what pleases You."

Surah Ghafir (Chapter 40), Verse 55
Qur’an 40:55 — Surah Ghafir (The Forgiver)

Arabic:
فَاصْبِرْ إِنَّ وَعْدَ اللَّهِ حَقٌّ وَاسْتَغْفِرْ لِذَنْبِكَ وَسَبِّحْ بِحَمْدِ رَبِّكَ

English translation:
“So be patient. Indeed, the promise of Allah is true. And ask forgiveness for your sin and glorify the praises of your Lord in the evening and the morning.”

Explanation of the verse
This verse contains four important teachings.

1. Be patient (Sabr).
   Allah instructs the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ to remain patient. Patience in Islam means persevering through hardship while maintaining faith and avoiding despair. It does not mean that you must passively accept injustice or never take steps to improve your circumstances.

2. Trust in Allah’s promise.
   “Indeed, the promise of Allah is true” reminds believers that Allah’s promises are certain. His justice, wisdom and reward are real, even when a person cannot immediately understand what is happening in their life.

3. Seek forgiveness (Istighfar).
   Allah encourages seeking His forgiveness. Muslims should continually turn to Him in repentance, humility and hope in His mercy.

4. Remember Allah morning and evening.

The verse encourages regular glorification and praise of Allah. Remembering Allah through prayer, supplication and dhikr can help a believer remain spiritually grounded during difficult times.

What does this verse teach you personally?
If you are going through disappointment, feeling that time has been lost, or feeling uncertain about your future, this verse offers three reminders:

• Be patient without giving up hope. A difficult period does not mean your future is necessarily closed

• Trust Allah while taking practical steps. Patience can go hand in hand with making decisions and pursuing what is good for you.

• Do not assume that a delayed opportunity means Allah has abandoned you. This verse does not promise that every particular wish will come true, but it calls you to remain patient and faithful in the knowledge that Allah's promise is true.

The central message: Remain patient, seek Allah’s forgiveness, remember Him regularly, and do not lose hope in His mercy.

Allah also says in the Qur’an:
“And whoever fears Allah—He will make for him a way out. And will provide for him from where he does not expect.”
— Surah At-Talaq 65:2–3

These verses together encourage believers to persevere, maintain their relationship with Allah and trust Him while continuing to make wise choices.

1. Recognise the oneness of Allah. The declaration La ilaha illa Allah means that none has the right to be worshipped except Allah. It is the foundation of Islamic belief.

2. Seek forgiveness from Allah. Muslims are encouraged to repent sincerely, acknowledge their shortcomings and continually seek Allah’s forgiveness

3. Pray for other believers. The verse encourages Muslims to ask Allah to forgive believing men and women, showing concern for the spiritual wellbeing of others.

4. Allah knows everything about us. Allah knows where we go, what we do and where we ultimately settle. Nothing about our lives is hidden from Him.

What can we learn from this verse?

The verse reminds us to keep our faith in Allah strong, seek forgiveness and remember that Allah knows our circumstances, struggles and intentions.

Even when a person faces disappointment, hardship or uncertainty about the future, they can continue to turn to Allah through prayer, repentance and trust in His wisdom.

A practical lesson: Make istighfar (seeking Allah’s forgiveness) part of your daily routine and ask Allah for guidance, mercy and what is best for your life in this world and the Hereafter.

Finding Faith, Finding Belonging

Embracing Islam is a beautiful beginning. Yet finding one's place within the Muslim community can sometimes be a journey of its own.

Faith grows through knowledge, patience, kindness and sincere companionship.

I believe those of us who were born into Muslim families have much to learn from our brothers and sisters who discovered Islam later in life.
