I have so much respect for our revert brothers and sisters. It must be incredibly challenging to go from one lifestyle to something completely different, especially while dealing with family and societal pressure. What are some of the things that strengthened your belief in Allah and Islam?
“Echoes of Thought”
Some reverts didn’t find Islam in perfect moments.
They found it while healing breaking searching questioning and rebuilding themselves quietly.
That’s why some of the softest hearts carry the deepest stories.
Maybe guidance was never about where you started.
Maybe it was about having the courage to keep walking toward Allah even when nobody around you understood your journey.
And honestly there’s something beautiful about souls that chose faith with their heart before they were ever born into it.
Alhamdulillah, blessed days of Dhul Hijjah are here.
May Allah accept our du’as, forgive our sins, and guide us toward what is best in dunya and akhirah.
Hey asallamu alaikum everyone.
This seems like the perfect space to share some thoughts I had yesterday after reading this iyah.
We have lots of responsibilities and rights placed upon us in Islam and sometimes the guilt and weight of it all can leave us feeling like we have to give more than we have to give. But it's important to be realistic about what we can give without sacrificing our well-being.
"Allah does not require of any soul more than what it can afford. All good will be for its own benefit, and all evil will be to its own loss. ˹The believers pray,˺ “Our Lord! Do not punish us if we forget or make a mistake. Our Lord! Do not place a burden on us like the one you placed on those before us. Our Lord! Do not burden us with what we cannot bear. Pardon us, forgive us, and have mercy on us. You are our ˹only˺ Guardian. So grant us victory over the disbelieving people.”
Ameen 🤲🏼🤍
