Alhamdulillah for new beginnings 🕋🤝 Whether you're new to Islam or seeking guidance, here we share experiences, offer resources, and foster a sense of belonging on your unique journey as a convert.
Quran 2:216
“Perhaps you dislike something while it is good for you, and perhaps you love something while it is bad for you. And Allah knows, while you know not.”
The verse is often understood as a reminder that immediate feelings—fear, discomfort, loss, uncertainty—do not always reflect what will ultimately benefit a person. Many people quote it during difficult periods to express the idea that wisdom and outcomes may only become clear later.
There are three types of people whom Allah has taken it upon Himself to help: the fighter in the cause of Allah, the mukatab (slave) who desires to purchase his freedom, and the one who marries seeking to chaste (preserve their chastity)."

The way you left made me afraid to be loved and to love too deeply again💔
I am looking for a guide to help me improve on my revert journey. Would be nice of they are based in the UAE. Treat me as a complete beginner. I need as much as help as possible.
Someone asked me, “Do you agree to my terms and conditions for getting married?” and I said, “Yeah, sounds good.”
Then he asked, “Would you like to be my wife?” and I replied, “Inshallah.”
Apparently, in his mind, because we were both conscious, agreed verbally, and God was our witness, that meant we were already married 💀 I genuinely had no idea some people considered that a marriage. I thought we were just talking, especially because it was literally the first day I had ever seen him in my life.
Right after that, he tried to hug and kiss me, but I avoided him. Then he got upset and said, “I have the right to love my wife,” and even told me that if I wanted a divorce, I would have to wait three months 👁️👄👁️
So now I’m still wondering… do people actually get married just like that, or was he just mocking me because I’m a convert to Islam? 😭
