Salaam folks! Hi, Any of you attending either of these all day events MTF (London) or Mpower (Midlands) in June?

Muslim Tech Fest I think sold out now and tickets were super pricey even at discount rate! 🤯 Mpower they still have tickets if anyone wanna attend with a discount. I’m looking forward to attending both and connecting with muslim professionals in-person. 🙌🏼💃🏾

My Story – Why I Created This

💛 MY STORY BEHIND FREE YOURSELF
I used to carry so much fear, worry and confusion. I didn’t know how to find peace or feel truly safe.

For years I searched, learned and collected practices, verses and Duas that actually helped me. Then I organised them simply, so you don’t have to struggle or search endlessly like I did.

This guide is my way of sharing everything that changed my life — so you can feel free too.

How many men here earn above or around about £45k - i’m earning around that as a female so was wondering if my expectations with my spouse earning more is unrealistic?

I wonder if the world was laughing at us when everyone was clapping and smashing their pans with spoons for the NHS. What an embarrassing moment

🌿 𝗘𝗺𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗠𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗜𝘀 𝗦𝗲𝘅𝗶𝗲𝗿 𝗧𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝗔𝗴𝗲

One thing I've learned through life, friendships, and the marriage search process is this:

Emotional maturity has very little to do with age.

I've met people in their 20s who carry themselves with wisdom, accountability, and grace.

And I've met people in their 40s who still run from difficult conversations, avoid responsibility, and let their emotions control their actions.

To me, emotional maturity looks like:

✨ Taking accountability instead of making excuses.
✨ Communicating instead of disappearing.
✨ Listening to understand, not just to respond.
✨ Respecting others even during disagreements.
✨ Regulating emotions instead of weaponizing them.
✨ Choosing solutions over ego.
✨ Being self-aware enough to admit, "I still have things to improve."

Perhaps one of the most attractive qualities in a future spouse is not perfection, wealth, status, education, or even physical appearance.

It's the ability to say:

"I was wrong."
"I understand your perspective."
"Let's work through this together."

Because marriage isn't two perfect people finding each other.

It's two imperfect people choosing growth, mercy, patience, and understanding every single day.

🌱 Emotional maturity doesn't eliminate conflict.

It changes how conflict is handled.

And sometimes, that makes all the difference between a marriage that survives and one that thrives.

May Allahﷻ grant us spouses who are emotionally mature, kind-hearted, self-aware, and sincere in their intentions.

اللهم ارزقنا الحكمة والصبر وحسن الخلق في علاقاتنا وزواجنا.

آمين 🤍
