🇬🇧🕌 A group for Muslims in UK, where we celebrate our faith and cultural diversity.

Hello
Reopened my filters to outside the UK again after weeks, and saw more potentials in 1 day than I had in the last few weeks.
Know it sounds shallow, but we all know it matters... can the Muslims in the UK start taking "looksmaxxing" as seriously as all the non-UK Muslims do?
Happy to drop some free game too, genuinely just want to make it easier for us all to find our other half. Feel like the effort is so low from the UK community.

Sometimes, we don't need advice, explanations, or solutions. We just need someone who understands our silence, feels our pain, and reminds us that we are not alone. ❤️
Life can be heavy, and even the strongest hearts get tired. So, be kind to people. You never know what battles they are fighting behind their smiles.
Sometimes, a simple hug, a sincere prayer, or a few kind words can heal a heart more than a thousand explanations ever could.
May Allah bless us with people who bring peace to our hearts, kindness to our lives, and sincerity to our relationships. Aamiin. 🤲🏻❤️

Muzz Meets event review - I've seen several posts asking if anyone's attended or what people's experiences were like so I hope this is helpful! I'll share the positives and negatives, including what the Muzz team could do better.
Only 6 attended of the 10 - 4 women and 2 men. This was disappointing. But the worst thing was that 2 other men were put down as attended, when they weren't actually there for the meal. I'll explain more below!
Logistics: How does it work? It's meant to be a table of 10, with an equal split of men and women, and you're only told the location 24 hours before. You are told the general area where the restaurant will be based, but not the exact location. It's £15 for tickets and there's no Muzz staff at the event itself. It's simply a gathering of Muzz members, and the rest is up to you. You pay for your own meal. The age group was a bit too varied (25-39), so I think they need to make the gap smaller, but I thought if there's 5 men, hopefully someone will be a similar age. Unfortunately, as there was only two, there wasn't. Both were in their 20s and if I recall correctly, all the women were in their 30s.
Most of us were quite nervous. We saw that one man and one woman cancelled as it showed up on the app. They at least had the courtesy to cancel. We then waited for any latecomers. By that point, it was 4 of women and 2 men and we'd made some small talk, but hadn't ordered as we wanted to ensure everyone had arrived first. One man came late and we told him we'll wait for him to see the menu before we order. He sat down and then made out that he was taking a phone call. He gets up and leaves the restaurant for this apparent phone call, despite the group telling him they were waiting for him to choose his food. I then told the others that we should order, because he's not coming back. I could tell by his entire demeanour that he had gone, without a word, and wasn't returning. To be frank, it's quite rude behaviour - if you don't feel that anyone at the table would be a good match for you, then just politely say you're leaving. We'd respect that, instead of walking out under the guise of just popping out for a call.
So that accounts for all women, ie one cancelled, but only 4 men, with one cancelling, two attended, one running off, so there was one left. Suspiciously, the app marked him as being there, but he wasn't. So...how are you marked as having "attended"? I am guessing that it's based on our GPS location, as once we arrived, we didn't need to scan anything or even give our names - just that we're part of the Muzz table. However, once I opened the app, it showed I've arrived. Unfortunately, I believe this is where the loophole is and how people have gotten around not actually being there. It's something the Muzz team need to fix, if they're going to host any fair event. I believe the "no show" guy maybe got to the location and decided to leave without even introducing himself, and the one who legged it was also marked as attended, despite not actually staying.
The positives? Despite the gender imbalance and someone deserting our table, we tried to make the most of the evening. We had a nice dinner and a nice chat. The two men who did stay were polite and seemed serious about finding a spouse. They weren't right for me due to the big age gap but I hope they find the right woman for them inshaAllah. It was also nice meeting people in the same boat as you, so hearing stories from both men and women about our experiences was helpful. It can often feel demotivating, having awful experiences on the app and talking to people not serious about marriage, so it was refreshing seeing people who were genuine. I make dua everyone who attended finds a good spouse 🤲🏼.
To note, the terms of the event are, "You'll be temporarily banned from MuzzMeets for 30 days if you don't show up to an event you booked, or if you cancel within 48 hours of the event". Was this actioned? No. I spoke to the Muzz team and they did not uphold their own terms and conditions, for the two men who were marked as being present but in reality weren't there. Extremely disappointing.
How it can be improved? Having a slightly larger number would be better. They haven't had the balance right yet. I went to their event which had about 500 Muslims in London and it was awful as you could barely hear each other. So I hoped a more intimate event would be better, but having such small numbers means if there's no shows, it simply doesn't work. I think around 20ish people would be more ideal. Having a closer age gap would be better. Maybe 25-30, 30-35 etc. Also, I understand it's a great money maker for Muzz, to not need staff present and charge for tickets without food even included. But from what I've seen on these forums, people would prefer staff presence. And finally, it needs to be fair for everyone. If people are using loopholes, and not actually being present, it should be actioned.
So overall, I wouldn't say it was completely terrible as the group who stayed were nice and we had interesting conversations over yummy food. Also, some people made friends/connections.
I know this is a long review but hope it helps anyone considering attending!

Is there any Bangladeshi guy who would like to just do a blind meet?
This means we get the essential criteria out of the way before and we just go and meet in person (although you will have to accept my brother coming to give you a handshake at least, then my brother can turn into a ghost).
We travel part way.
No pics exchanged, no phonecalls just see in real life.
My criteria as follows:
@ShanKhan1
Great view but the chair next to me is missing the right person! 🌅 🫠😌
@str4ing
To intentionally miss an obligatory prayer like Isha without an excuse is a major sin.
Please get your priorities in order.
