Allah warns in the Qur'an: "Think not that those who exult in what they have brought about and love to be praised for what they have not done... for them is a painful punishment." (3:188)
Key Points:
✅ Seeking praise for something you didn't even do is a deeper level of Riya.
✅ It stems from extreme arrogance (Kibr).
✅ A believer feels shy or uncomfortable when praised, fearing they haven't done enough for Allah.

In today's modern western society... if a muslim woman isn't infatuated with her partner before marriage, it means she has very little or no love for him (and therefore, she will eventually have very little respect for him too).

I have lived in Japan and Australia and soon inshaAllah, I'll be pursuing my master's degree in the UK.
I've spoken to some friends who previously lived or studied in the UK, and the first thing many of them told me was, "Don't go to the UK, it's not that nice." They even said it’s sh*t hole :/
Well I'm always open to hearing their opinions and feedback (no hard feelings whatsoever.)
I've wanted to study in the UK since I was a teenager, so of course I'm going to do my best to make that dream come true and I actually have got accepted to the UK universities. At the same time, their comments have made me a little nervous and have caused me to question my decision.
Most of my friends say that because I've lived in Japan and Australia, it might be difficult for me to adjust to life in the UK.
My question is: do you think it's still worth living and studying in the UK at this time?
I'm open to any comments or advice because I'd love to hear different perspectives from both sisters and brothers 🙏🏼
