Black magic
To my fellow men, please continue to block sisters from Pakistan and the Maghreb. Many practice black magic and evil eye. Protect yourselves. They only want your passport and a visa. They don’t care about anything else.
Business ideas please
If you had 100,000 pounds to invest, obviously wouldn't spend it all at once, and really want to have your own business, which business ideas would you consider.
I don't mind being hands-on and I definitely don't mind hard work. I want something that's scalable though. My background is I'm a dentist and I know the obvious one is to buy a practice. But practices are very expensive and I don't want to take any loans.
Would be so keen to hear ideas.

Imagine you caught your boyfriend/girlfriend cheating but with the same gender, what will you do ??
I’m just curious.

Is there anyone here who has married or met their life partner from a different nationality?

Just a little offload…
I genuinely love this app for the debates, the banter, the offloads, and sometimes simply reading other people’s opinions and perspectives. Marriage interest has been out of the window for me for many months now, so naturally my attention has shifted towards other conversations and topics.
But over the last few weeks, I’ve come across some genuinely deep and humbling life situations on here.
Sometimes we forget that behind every username and every screen is a real person, living a life we know absolutely nothing about.
I work in an all-women’s field, and through the therapy I provide, I meet women from all walks of life. People naturally open up, and I hear so many different life experiences. Because of that, I’ve had to learn how to mentally prepare myself, listen, support where I can, and then process and let go afterwards.
I love giving advice. I’m a good listener, and I’m naturally very empathetic — probably to the point where switching off doesn’t always come easily. But Alhamdulillah, over time I’ve learnt how to manage and process it.
Then this app reminded me that those moments can find you anywhere.
Just under two weeks ago, I crossed paths with a gentleman through a few comments. His life before and during the ending of his marriage had been deeply traumatic, and somehow our conversations turned into me encouraging him to look at life differently, seek proper support and begin actively taking control of his future again.
Alhamdulillah, within a week or so, there was a noticeable shift in the way he was thinking.
Did knowing I had helped someone feel good? Absolutely.
Then, completely unexpectedly, the ex-wife connected to so much of that trauma passed away.
One moment we were speaking about therapy, healing from what the marriage and divorce had caused, learning to process resentment and moving forward — and suddenly, that person was no longer here.
SubhanAllah. Life can change so quickly.
One of the biggest lessons I took from that was the importance of forgiveness. Forgiveness doesn’t necessarily mean forgetting what happened or pretending something didn’t hurt you. But carrying a past that can no longer be changed, allowing it to continuously occupy your heart and mind, can become its own burden.
May Allah forgive her, have mercy upon her and grant her Jannah. Ameen.
Then there was another person carrying an entirely different kind of pain.
He was living with overwhelming guilt after an incident in which he managed to save his children but was unable to save his wife. He is now trying to navigate an incredibly difficult psychological situation while also raising his beautiful children as a single father.
And just to make this clear — both of these situations came purely through this app. Nothing to do with matchmaking, nothing to do with getting to know anyone in that sense. Just completely different human beings, living completely different lives, crossing paths on a platform where sometimes people simply need somewhere to speak, seek advice or feel heard.
It has reminded me again how incredibly short life is.
We can spend so much of it angry, frustrated, disappointed, hurt or holding onto things that have already happened. Of course, emotions are human and trauma isn’t something you can simply switch off. But learning how to process what happens to us, seeking help when we need it, and understanding that everything is written can change the way we carry our experiences.
Some things strengthen us. Some things teach us. And unfortunately, sometimes the lesson comes the hard way.
These situations have sat quite heavily on my heart. I’ve taken a few days just to process them myself.
My heart genuinely goes out to anyone grieving, anyone carrying psychological trauma, anyone living with guilt, or anyone quietly trying to come to terms with something painful that has happened in their life.
You really never know what the person on the other side of the screen is carrying.
I pray the Almighty ease the hearts of everyone struggling silently, grant healing to those carrying trauma, patience to those grieving, and peace to those trying to move forward. Ameen.

The Issue of Lack of Seriousness and Ghosting on Matchmaking Platforms
A major and common issue on matchmaking platforms today is that people abruptly stop communicating without any reason or a proper goodbye, a phenomenon known as "ghosting." This behavior is equally prevalent among both men and women.
People often portray themselves in their profile bios as extremely serious, sensible, and mature, but in reality, disappearing after just a few days of conversation has become the norm. This causes severe mental distress to those who are genuinely looking for a serious, halal relationship.
On the other hand, some individuals lack flexibility and proper etiquette, coming onto these platforms solely to find their rigid standards, a specific status, or a partner matching their exact desires. When they don't like someone, they either vanish or start talking in a way that makes their own character questionable.
Seeing all this is truly disheartening, but since we are searching for a serious and sensible life partner, we have to practice patience and forbearance. On platforms where countless people are just sitting around to mess and waste time, serious individuals inevitably have to go through this difficult screening phase. We must pray for the ummah and remain steadfast in expressing gratitude to Allah in every situation
