@Silentsufi

Do you ever feel like sometimes deep down we already know when something is about to happen to us or to someone we love?
I’ve had two experiences like this before with people I loved. About two years ago I was really struggling with uni and I remember talking to my late aunt about it. One day she told me “I might not be there for your graduation but I know you can do it.” About two weeks later she was diagnosed with cancer. Her health deteriorated so quickly within that month and she sadly passed away. Then last year my late cousin passed away in a car accident. A few days before it happened he said to me “You’ll never know who dies first. Maybe me. Maybe you.”
Yesterday my dad called me and we were video calling. Before we ended the call he said something that really worried me but I didn’t think too much of it at the time. He said that he hopes I’ll always be well taken care of. There’s more to what he said but I won’t share everything. I remember laughing it off and saying “Baba stop what are you talking about” and we ended the call by saying “I love you” and blowing kisses to each other.
Just about an hour later my cousin called to tell me and my brothers that my dad had suffered a heart attack and was now in the ICU. I can’t help but wonder if that was why he said those things to me. Maybe I’m overthinking it. Maybe it was simply something he felt like saying in that moment. But after everything that has happened before I can’t help but think about it.
Ya Allah my heart is so heavy right now. Please protect my dad. Please grant him shifa and ease his pain. Please bring him through this safely and give him many more years with us. Ya Allah please let this be a test that ends with good news. Ameen.
Thank you to everyone who has prayed for my dad. May Allah reward all of you for your kindness.

Thank the Almighty, no matter what the circumstances. It’s not just to do with wealth & good things. Thank Him for guiding you & keeping you steadfast. Thank Him for increase in knowledge, for the lessons you’ve learnt from hardship. Do this each day and He will grant you more.
“‘Our Lord! Forgive our sins and excesses, make our steps firm, and grant us victory over the disbelieving people.’” 3:147.

Salam alaykom everyone. Please make Dua for my dad who is currently in the ICU after suffering a heart attack many hours ago 💔 What makes this even harder is being so far away from him as he is living in another country. I’ve been crying so much and making Duas for him 😢 Please keep him in your Duas. Jazakallah khair.
