Wolf
Written by Fereydoun Moshiri
A wise man once said: A stubborn wolf
is hidden deep in the soul of every human!
And thus, a fierce battle is going on, day and night, between this human and this wolf.
The power of the arm is not a cure for this wolf;
Only he who has thought knows the cure.
Oh, how many suffering and troubled humans
have held their wolf's throat tightly!
And how many strong and brave humans
have remained captive in the clutches of their wolf.
Whoever casts his wolf into the dust
Little by little, he becomes a pure human.
But whoever is defeated by his wolf at every step -
Although he may seem human, he or she is a wolf!
And whoever makes peace with his wolf,
gradually takes on the nature of the wolf.
In youth, take the life of your wolf!
Woe to you if this wolf grows old beside you.
In old age, even if you are as strong as a lion,
you will be powerless against the old wolf.
When people prey on each other,
it is their wolves that lead and guide them.
That is why humanity suffers so much -
because wolves rule over them.
And those tyrants who are confidants of each other -
their wolves are close friends.
The wolves are together, while humans are strangers.
To whom could one speak of this strange situation?
