One of the strangest things I’ve noticed lately is how intense the excitement feels at the beginning.
Every new person seems like they could be (the one) & every convo feels like a completely different journey But over time, the same pattern keeps repeating:
the same questions, the same lines, the same nice sounding intentions until the excitement slowly starts to fade without u even realizing it
& instead of feeling excited to open a chat, u start opening it with this weird numb feeling neither happy nor upset, just going through it automatically like u’re watching the same movie with slightly different endings but the same overall plot
Eventually u realize that it’s not just the people you’re losing excitement for but the whole idea of (fast beginnings) itself.
What used to feel thrilling now feels almost ordinary & that in itself is one of the strangest feelings u can experience in modern dating

You ask a girl a question, wait for her reply, and instead of answering, she just unmatches you.
At that point, I'm not even upset about the unmatch, I'm more curious about the answer I was waiting for. 😂
Why not just say you're not interested and move on?
