🕌 BROTHERS, LEARN THE FIQH OF MENSTRUATION & PREGNANCY

Brothers, before you get married, learn the basic Islamic rulings concerning menstruation, pregnancy, childbirth and post-natal bleeding.

It may feel like an uncomfortable topic, but ignorance is not a virtue when knowledge affects your wife's worship, wellbeing and rights.

Some men grow up in cultures where these matters are never discussed. So they reach adulthood knowing almost nothing about what their wives, mothers, sisters or daughters experience.

Let's change that.

A husband should understand enough to know:

• What menstruation (ḥayḍ) is and its basic rulings.
• What post-natal bleeding (nifās) is.
• How menstruation affects Ṣalāh and fasting.
• When missed Ramadan fasts are made up.
• What intimacy is permissible or prohibited during menstruation.
• How to support his wife with kindness and dignity.
• The basic rulings surrounding pregnancy and childbirth.
• When to ask a qualified scholar about matters he doesn't understand.

And brothers, don't be embarrassed to learn.

You don't need to become a specialist overnight.

But if you're going to be a husband and, eventually, a father, you should have enough knowledge to avoid causing hardship through ignorance.

The Prophet ﷺ taught us the importance of learning our Deen, and the Qur'an says:

“Ask the people of knowledge if you do not know.”
— Qur'an 16:43

And remember: menstruation is not something shameful or dirty. It is a natural condition Allah ﷻ created women to experience.

Our Prophet ﷺ did not treat menstruating women as untouchable.

ʿĀ’ishah رضي الله عنها narrated many matters concerning menstruation, and the Companions learned these rulings.

So let's raise boys who aren't taught to laugh when menstruation is mentioned.

Let's raise men who understand, husbands who support, and fathers who educate with wisdom.

Because Islamic knowledge isn't only about the topics that feel comfortable.

Learn what you need to know to worship Allah correctly and fulfil the rights of the people under your responsibility.

May Allah grant us beneficial knowledge, wisdom, good character and the courage to ask when we don't know.

Reminder.

🕌 WHOSE SUNNAH ARE YOU REALLY FOLLOWING?

Let me ask you something—not to judge you, but to make you stop and think.

If someone watched your life for one week, whose influence would they see?

Would they see the Sunnah of Rasūlullāh ﷺ?

Or would they see the footsteps of a celebrity, footballer, musician, influencer, actor, or someone who doesn't even know your name?

1️⃣ RASŪLULLĀH ﷺ ❤️

Think about him ﷺ.

He cared about his Ummah.

He taught us how to worship Allah ﷻ.

He taught us how to speak, how to dress, how to treat our parents, how to deal with our spouses, how to treat the poor, how to forgive, how to show mercy and how to prepare for death.

He worried about his Ummah.

He made duʿā for his Ummah.

He wanted you to be saved.

And yet, how much do we worry about following him ﷺ?

Sometimes we know the names of celebrities, their birthdays, their relationships, their clothes, their favourite teams, their latest songs and every detail of their lives…

But can we name the Sunnah of our Prophet ﷺ?

Can we describe how he ﷺ prayed?

Can we describe his character?

Can we tell our children about his life?

Isn't that frightening?

2️⃣ YOUR CELEBRITY ⭐

Be honest with yourself.

That celebrity may not know you exist.

They don't know your struggles.

They don't know your tears.

They don't know what happens when you are alone at night.

They don't know your sins.

They don't make duʿā for your salvation.

And when you die, they will not stand in your grave with you.

Yet some of us spend hours watching them, copying them, defending them, dressing like them and trying to live like them.

For what?

What will their fame do for you when the Angel of Death comes?

What will their followers do for you in your grave?

What will their awards do for you when you stand before Allah ﷻ?

What will their lifestyle benefit you when your deeds are placed on the scale?

Ask yourself seriously:

Whose footsteps am I following?

Whose clothes am I trying to copy?

Whose speech am I imitating?

Whose lifestyle am I admiring?

Whose values are entering my heart?

And perhaps the most frightening question:

If I continue living exactly as I am today, will Allah be pleased with the person I am becoming?

☝️ Allah ﷻ says:

“Indeed, in the Messenger of Allah you have an excellent example…”

Qur’an 33:21

My dear brother, my dear sister…

Don't allow someone who doesn't know you to become the person who shapes your life.

Don't exchange the Sunnah for a trend.

Don't exchange the Hereafter for temporary fame.

Don't become so impressed by people of this dunya that you forget the Messenger ﷺ who was sent with guidance and mercy.

Love Rasūlullāh ﷺ.

Learn his Sunnah.

Revive his Sunnah.

Follow his character.

Follow his guidance.

Not only when you post Islamic reminders…

But when nobody is watching.

Because one day, the likes will disappear.

The followers will disappear.

The clothes will disappear.

The beauty will disappear.

The money will disappear.

And you will stand alone before Allah ﷻ.

On that day, what will you wish you had followed?

Think about it.

Choose your role model before death chooses your destination.

May Allah ﷻ make the Sunnah of Rasūlullāh ﷺ more beloved to our hearts than trends, celebrities, fame and the pleasures of this dunya.

May Allah ﷻ allow us to follow the Prophet ﷺ sincerely, die upon īmān, and meet him ﷺ at the Hawd and in Jannatul-Firdaws.

🕌🤲 REMINDER

Do you know what Allah ﷻ loves most from you? ❤️

Start with the things He has made obligatory (Farḍ) upon you.

Before chasing extra deeds, make sure you are fulfilling the obligations:

🕌 The five daily Ṣalāh
🌙 Fasting Ramadan
💰 Paying Zakāh when it is due
📖 Obeying Allah’s commands and staying away from what He has made Ḥarām

Then, draw even closer to Him through Nawāfil (voluntary acts of worship).

☝️ The Prophet ﷺ narrated that Allah ﷻ said:

“My servant does not draw near to Me with anything more beloved to Me than what I have made obligatory upon him. And My servant continues to draw near to Me with voluntary deeds until I love him…”

SubḥānAllāh. 🥹❤️

So don't neglect the Farḍ while focusing only on Nawāfil.

Farḍ first.
Nawāfil next.
Sincerity always.

Do what Allah ﷻ loves, stay away from what He dislikes, and keep drawing closer to Him.

May Allah make us among those whom He loves, forgives and is pleased with.

Reminder.

❤️ If You Want to Be Loved by Allah ﷻ…

If you want the love of Allah, start with what He has made obligatory.

Don't focus on voluntary deeds while neglecting the obligations.

🌙 Fulfil the Obligations

🕌 Guard the five daily Ṣalāh

🌙 Fast Ramadan

💰 Pay Zakāh when it is due

🤲🏽 Fulfil the other obligations Allah has placed upon you

Then, if you want to draw even closer to Allah…

🤍 Increase in Nawāfil

🕌 12 daily Sunnah/Rawātib rakʿahs

☀️ Ṣalāt al-Ḍuḥā

🌙 Fasting Mondays & Thursdays

🌕 Fasting the 13th, 14th and 15th of each Hijri month

☝️ Allah ﷻ says in the Ḥadīth Qudsī:

“My servant continues to draw near to Me with voluntary deeds until I love him.”

SubḥānAllāh. ❤️

So don't only ask:

“What can I do to get more rewards?”

Ask:

“What can I do to become beloved to Allah?”

Start with the farā’iḍ.

Then build upon them with the nawāfil.

And don't forget: consistency matters. Even if your voluntary worship is small, keep doing it sincerely.

May Allah make us people who establish Ṣalāh, fast Ramadan, give Zakāh, love the Sunnah and constantly draw closer to Him.

May Allah love us, forgive us and make us among His righteous servants.

❤ THE BEAUTY OF SURAH AN-NABA ❤

Surah An-Naba is the 78th chapter of the Qur’an. It reminds us of the Great News—the reality of the Day of Resurrection, when every soul will stand before Allah.

🌿 LESSONS FROM SURAH AN-NABA:

✨ 1. Allah’s power is everywhere
Allah reminds us of the heavens, the earth, the mountains, the night and the day. All of creation is a sign of His greatness.

✨ 2. The Day of Judgment is certain
The Surah teaches us that resurrection is not something to doubt. Every person will be brought back and held accountable for their deeds.

✨ 3. Prepare for the Hereafter
Our life in this world is temporary. What truly matters is what we send forward through our prayers, good deeds, charity, patience and obedience to Allah.

✨ 4. Jannah is the reward for the righteous
Allah describes beautiful rewards prepared for those who fear Him and live according to His guidance.

✨ 5. Jahannam is a serious warning
The Surah reminds us that disobedience has consequences. This should awaken our hearts and encourage us to seek Allah’s forgiveness.

✨ 6. Allah knows everything we do
Nothing is hidden from Him. Every deed, whether big or small, will be accounted for.

🌸 A BEAUTIFUL REMINDER:
Surah An-Naba teaches us not to become too attached to this temporary world. The greatest success is to meet Allah with a heart that believed, repented and remained steadfast.

🤲 May Allah make us among those who listen to His words, understand them, live by them and meet Him while He is pleased with us. Ameen Ya Rabb.

وَفِي ذَٰلِكَ فَلْيَتَنَافَسِ الْمُتَنَافِسُونَ

“And for that let the competitors compete.”
— Qur’an 83:26
