Hajj and Umrah

BEFORE YOU MARRY SOMEONE, PLEASE PAY ATTENTION.

Before you marry someone, take your time. Don’t let beauty, money, sweet words, or temporary happiness blind you to their character.

Pay attention to how they behave when they are angry.

📌 Do they insult you, threaten you, or become physically abusive?

📌Do they control you through fear, intimidation, or manipulation?

📌 Can they disagree without humiliating you?

📌 Do they take responsibility when they are wrong, or do they always blame others?

📌 Can they apologise sincerely and change their behaviour?

📌 How do they treat people who cannot do anything for them?

Someone’s character is not measured only by how they treat you when they are happy. Pay attention to how they treat you when things don’t go their way.

And please, don’t confuse silence with good character. Some people become quiet when angry because they are trying to calm down, while others use silence to punish and control. What matters is how they manage their anger and whether they treat others with respect.

And if Allah blesses you with children, remember this: your children will not choose their parents. You have a responsibility to make that decision carefully.

Your children deserve a home where they feel safe, where disagreements do not turn into violence, where their mother and father treat each other with dignity, and where love is not mixed with fear.

The Prophet ﷺ said:

«خَيْرُكُمْ خَيْرُكُمْ لِأَهْلِهِ»

“The best of you are those who are best to their families.”

Marriage is not just about finding someone you love. It is about choosing someone with whom you can build a home, fulfil responsibilities, face difficulties, and raise children with good character.

Please, do not ignore serious warning signs simply because you are afraid of losing someone. Love alone cannot excuse abuse, and marriage should never be treated as a cure for a person's harmful behaviour.

Choose wisely. Observe character. Ask questions. Seek advice from trustworthy people. Pray Salat al-Istikharah, and ask Allah to guide you towards what is good.

Because one day, your decision may affect not only your life, but also the lives of innocent children who depend on you.

May Allah grant us righteous spouses, protect families from abuse and oppression, and make us responsible parents who raise children in a home filled with mercy, safety, and the remembrance of Allah. Ameen.

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ

اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لَنَا وَارْحَمْنَا وَاهْدِنَا وَعَافِنَا وَارْزُقْنَا، وَاجْبُرْ كَسْرَنَا، وَفَرِّجْ هُمُومَنَا، وَاقْضِ حَوَائِجَنَا، وَثَبِّتْ قُلُوبَنَا عَلَى دِينِكَ. آمِين.

🤲 O Allah, forgive us, have mercy upon us, guide us, grant us well-being, and provide for us. Heal our broken hearts, relieve our worries, fulfil our needs, and keep our hearts firm upon Your religion. Ameen.

🌙 YA ALLAH, THE MOST MERCIFUL!

Ya Rabb, forgive our sins, the sins we committed knowingly and unknowingly, in public and in private. Purify our hearts and make us among those whom You love.

🤲 Ya Allah, whoever in this group is sick, grant them complete shifaa. Whoever is struggling financially, open the doors of halal rizq for them. Whoever is looking for a job, bless them with a good opportunity. Whoever is searching for marriage, grant them a righteous spouse who will bring them closer to You.

Whoever is crying in secret, replace their tears with happiness. Whoever feels lost, guide them. Whoever is overwhelmed by debt, grant them relief. Whoever is homeless, provide them with a safe home. Whoever is silently fighting a battle nobody knows about, Ya Allah, be enough for them.

🤲 YA RABB, protect our children from evil, guide them to the straight path, make them among the people of the Qur'an, and grant them beautiful character and strong Imaan.

🤲 YA ALLAH, unite our hearts upon goodness. Remove jealousy, hatred, pride, and misunderstanding from among us. Make us Muslims who love one another sincerely, pray for one another in our absence, help the needy, feed the hungry, care for orphans, and show mercy to the weak.

🤲 YA ALLAH, when our hearts are tired, give us strength. When our tears fall, comfort us. When our doors seem closed, open doors we never imagined. When our rizq seems limited, bless us from sources we could never have expected.

Ya Allah, never allow us to lose hope in Your mercy. Remind us that what You have written for us will reach us, and what You have kept away from us may be a protection we do not yet understand.

🤲 YA ALLAH, forgive our parents, our families, and our brothers and sisters in Islam, those who are alive and those who have returned to You. Protect the oppressed Muslims around the world, especially our brothers and sisters in Palestine. Grant them protection, relief, justice, and peace.

🤲 YA ALLAH, grant us a beautiful ending. Let our last words be LAA ILAAHA ILLALLAH. Protect us from the punishment of the grave and the Fire, and grant us JANNATUL FIRDAUS AL-A'LA.

📖 رَبَّنَا آتِنَا فِي الدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةً وَفِي الْآخِرَةِ حَسَنَةً وَقِنَا عَذَابَ النَّارِ

RABBANA ATINA FID-DUNYA HASANATAN WA FIL-AKHIRATI HASANATAN WA QINA 'ADHABAN-NAR.

Meaning: Our Lord, grant us good in this world and good in the Hereafter, and protect us from the punishment of the Fire.

📖 SURAH AL-BAQARAH 2:201

🤲 YA ALLAH, grant us goodness in this world and the Hereafter. Accept our prayers, forgive our shortcomings, bless our homes, increase our Imaan, and make us among Your righteous servants.

May Allah answer the du'as we whisper through our tears, grant us what is good for us, protect us from what is harmful, and bless every member of this group with peace, barakah, halal rizq, good health, and Jannatul Firdaus.

Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh. ❤️

My name is Aisha Bidius Atieno, founder of Tumaini Little Hearts Foundation.

Alhamdulillah, we have begun our journey of serving children through feeding programmes and Islamic education. Our mission is to feed hungry little hearts, teach Deen, and nurture children with love and the teachings of Islam. ❤️🤲

Today, I humbly appeal to Muslim brothers and sisters, Islamic organisations, mosques, and generous donors around the world to help us obtain 50 copies of the Arabic Holy Qur'an for children studying at Masjid Ali Okere in Sigomere, Kenya. 🇰🇪📖

Our dream is to put the words of Allah SWT into the hands of these children so they can learn to read, recite, and memorise the Qur'an and grow closer to their Creator.

We are looking for donors who can sponsor one Qur'an, several copies, or all 50 copies. Every contribution, no matter how small, will bring us closer to achieving this noble goal.

The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said:
