A REMINDER ABOUT MARRIAGE

Dear Brother,

Your wife is not Khadījah رضي الله عنها.
She is not ʿĀ’ishah رضي الله عنها.
She is not Ḥafṣah رضي الله عنها.

Dear Sister,

Your husband is not Muhammad ﷺ.
He is not Abū Bakr رضي الله عنه.
He is not ʿUmar رضي الله عنه.

So please don't expect your spouse to be 100% like them.

Our righteous predecessors were extraordinary examples, but your spouse is still a human being—with weaknesses, shortcomings, emotions and mistakes.

And remember something important:

You are not perfect either.

If your spouse makes a small mistake, learn to overlook some things. Not every mistake needs an argument. Not every disagreement needs to become a major issue. Not every private matter needs to be discussed with friends, family or on social media.

Sometimes, you have to look at the bigger picture.

Your spouse did something wrong?
Okay—but remember the dozens of things they have done right.

Remember the times they supported you.
Remember the sacrifices they made.
Remember their kindness.
Remember their good character.
Remember the good that made you choose them in the first place.

This does not mean tolerating abuse, betrayal, serious injustice or anything Islamically unacceptable. Serious problems should be addressed wisely and, when necessary, with qualified help.

But if you're searching for a spouse, don't search for someone who is perfect.

Look for someone who is sincere, responsible, compatible and striving to become better.

Someone who makes mistakes but is willing to admit them.
Someone who falls but gets back up.
Someone who wants to grow closer to Allah.
Someone who is willing to learn, communicate, apologise and improve.

Don't make your list of requirements so long that no human being could possibly fulfil it.

Marriage is not about finding a flawless person.

It's about finding someone with whom you can grow, worship Allah, show mercy, forgive one another and build a peaceful life together.

Choose wisely—but don't demand perfection.

Sometimes, shortening the unrealistic checklist makes marriage easier.

May Allah grant our brothers and sisters righteous spouses who bring peace, love, mercy and barakah into their lives.

Allah knows best. 🤲🏽

🌍 The heavens and the earth will one day respond to Allah’s command.

📖 Every deed we do is recorded. Nothing is forgotten—not even the smallest act of kindness.

🤲 Those who receive their records in their right hands will be blessed with an easy reckoning and happiness.

❤️ The Surah teaches us to keep striving for Allah, even when life feels difficult, because every hardship, every tear, every prayer and every good deed is known to Him.

“O mankind, indeed you are laboring toward your Lord with great exertion, and will ultimately meet Him.”

🌸 May Allah make us among those who receive our books in our right hands, forgive our shortcomings, ease our burdens, and make our final meeting with Him a beautiful one. Ameen Ya Rabb. 🤲🏽

I am in Mecca

Last year I asked

“If you could ask Allah for one thing today,

what would it be?”

Everyone was mentioning money & Love but this year,

the amount of people who are praying for easy death are more 🥺💔

This like a sign people are tired of this world, may the almighty save us all.

One of the scariest punishments in Islam is not the fire, but when Allah stops guiding you.

When you are left alone with your own ego and desires, thinking you know better, thinking you are fine.

No reminders move your heart anymore. No advice reaches you.

Nothing feels heavy, even when it should.

You become numb without realizing it.

You stop questioning yourself, stop reflecting, stop feeling the need to return.

And that is what makes it frightening. Not the pain, but the absence of it. Not the struggle,but the silence inside your heart.

Guidance is a mercy, even when it comes with discomfort.

Feeling guilt, feeling the need to change, feeling shaken by reminders means Allah is still reaching out to you.

Never take that lightly. Ask Allah to keep your heart soft, aware,and close to Him, because being guided is one of the greatest blessings you could ever have.

Your Dua doesn't have an expiry date.🤲🏽
