📖 TODAY’S QUR’AN REMINDER: BE KIND, FOR ALLAH LOVES GOODNESS.

Allah ﷻ says:

“And speak to people good [words].”
📖 Surah Al-Baqarah 2:83

🤍 Dear brothers and sisters in Islam, never underestimate the power of a kind word, a sincere smile, or a helping hand. Sometimes, the smallest act of kindness can bring light into someone's darkest day. Be gentle with people, because everyone is fighting battles we may know nothing about. Do not allow the hardships of life to harden your hearts. Forgive those who hurt you, help those in need, and treat others with the mercy you hope Allah will show you.

Remember, dear Ummah, that this world is temporary, but the good we do for the sake of Allah can become a source of reward in the Hereafter. Let us compete in goodness, support one another, feed the hungry, comfort the brokenhearted, and remember those who have been forgotten. 🤲❤️

May Allah purify our hearts, beautify our character, make us a source of goodness wherever we go, and accept every sincere act of kindness we do for His sake. May He unite our hearts upon the truth and grant us Jannatul Firdaus. Ameen ya Rabbal Alameen. 🤲🌹

May Allah make us Muslims not only by name, but through our character, actions, mercy, and sincerity. Ameen! ❤️🕌

May Allah allow our parents to see the best versions of us before they leave this dunya. Ameen.

the Prophet ﷺ said:
"Haya is part of iman."
and he ﷺ said:
"The best of you are those with the best character."
so let her be known for her modesty,
and let him be known for his character.
tag someone who has both. 🌙

THE MUSLIM UMMAH WOULD BE IN A MUCH BETTER STATE IF WE TRULY ACTED UPON THE TEACHINGS OF THE QUR’AN AND AUTHENTIC SUNNAH.

My dear brothers and sisters, let us speak honestly. This is a reminder for me before it is for anyone else.

Sometimes, I look at our communities and wonder: How can we have so much religious knowledge, yet struggle to practise what we have learned?

📖 WE RECITE THE QUR’AN WITH BEAUTIFUL VOICES…

Some of us can recite the Qur’an so beautifully that people become emotional listening to us. We memorise verses, share recitations, compete in competitions, and praise those with beautiful voices.

But what happens when we close the Mushaf?

Do we practise what Allah commands?

Do we uphold justice? Do we speak the truth? Do we treat our parents kindly? Do we protect the rights of others? Do we avoid backbiting, dishonesty, arrogance, and oppression?

Allah says:

أَفَلَا يَتَدَبَّرُونَ الْقُرْآنَ أَمْ عَلَىٰ قُلُوبٍ أَقْفَالُهَا

“Then do they not reflect upon the Qur’an, or are there locks upon [their] hearts?”

📖 Surah Muhammad 47:24

The Qur’an was not revealed merely to beautify our voices. It was revealed as guidance for our lives.

📚 WE STUDY HADITH… BUT DO WE FOLLOW THE SUNNAH?

We read books of hadith. We quote the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. We debate authentic narrations, discuss scholars, correct one another, and share Islamic reminders online.

But do we follow his teachings when dealing with our families, neighbours, spouses, employees, and people who cannot benefit us in return?

The Prophet ﷺ taught us truthfulness, mercy, good character, justice, and respect for the rights of others.

He ﷺ said:

«الْمُسْلِمُ مَنْ سَلِمَ الْمُسْلِمُونَ مِنْ لِسَانِهِ وَيَدِهِ»

“A Muslim is the one from whose tongue and hand the Muslims are safe.”

📚 Sahih al-Bukhari 10; Sahih Muslim 40.

My brother, you may quote hundreds of hadiths, but how do you speak to people when you are angry?

My sister, you may share reminders about modesty, but do you also guard your tongue and protect the dignity of others?

We may know the evidence, yet still struggle THIS IS THE SAD REALITY WE MUST REFLECT UPON.

We can argue for hours about differences among Muslims but struggle to forgive one another.

We can condemn the sins of strangers while hiding our own shortcomings.

We can speak about the rights of others while failing to fulfil the rights entrusted to us.

We can remind people to fear Allah while forgetting that Allah sees how we behave when nobody is watching.

We can make Islam look beautiful in our posts while neglecting to let its teachings transform our character.

And sometimes, we become more concerned about winning an argument than discovering the truth and acting upon it.

Dear Muslims, knowledge is a blessing, but knowledge should lead us towards obedience, humility, and better character.

Allah says:

يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا لِمَ تَقُولُونَ مَا لَا تَفْعَلُونَ ۝ كَبُرَ مَقْتًا عِندَ اللَّهِ أَن تَقُولُوا مَا لَا تَفْعَلُونَ

“O you who have believed, why do you say what you do not do? Great is hatred in the sight of Allah that you say what you do not do.”

📖 Surah As-Saff 61:2–3

These verses should make every one of us examine ourselves.

MY BROTHERS AND SISTERS, WHAT IS THE BENEFIT OF KNOWING THE TRUTH IF WE REFUSE TO STRIVE TO LIVE BY IT?

What is the benefit of reminding others about prayer if we are careless with our own prayers?

What is the benefit of discussing good character if we mistreat people?

What is the benefit of speaking about the Hereafter if we live as though we will never be held accountable?

What is the benefit of sharing Islamic knowledge if we use it to feed our pride rather than correct our weaknesses?

We must not misunderstand this reminder. None of us is perfect, and struggling to practise something does not mean our knowledge is worthless. We should continue learning, teaching, reciting, and reminding one another.

But we must also continue striving to put what we learn into practice.

THE CHANGE WE WANT TO SEE IN THE UMMAH MUST ALSO BEGIN WITH US.

Let us recite the Qur’an and reflect upon it.

Let us study authentic Sunnah and follow it.

Let us pray sincerely, fulfil people's rights, speak truthfully, honour our parents, protect our families, show mercy to the vulnerable, and repent when we fall short.

Let us stop measuring religious commitment only by how much a person knows, how beautifully they recite, how many reminders they post, or how well they debate.

Let us also look at sincerity, conduct, and the effort to obey Allah.

Remember: the goal is not to appear religious before people. The goal is to worship Allah sincerely and seek His pleasure.

🤲 YA ALLAH, DO NOT MAKE US AMONG THOSE WHO KNOW THE TRUTH BUT NEGLECT TO ACT UPON IT.

O Allah, make the Qur’an the light of our hearts and the guidance of our lives. Grant us beneficial knowledge, sincere intentions, righteous deeds, and beautiful character.

O Allah, help us follow the authentic Sunnah of Your Messenger ﷺ. Correct our shortcomings, forgive our sins, unite our hearts upon the truth, and protect us from arrogance, hypocrisy, and heedlessness.

Make us better Muslims in private as well as in public.

Āmīn, Yā Rabb al-ʿĀlamīn.

This reminder is for me before it is for anyone else.

We do not merely need more reminders. We need hearts willing to respond to the reminders we already know.

وَاللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ — Allah knows best.

TODAY IS FRIDAY. IT IS JUMUʿAH. MY DEAR MUSLIM, WHAT IS KEEPING YOU AWAY FROM THE MASJID?

My dear brother, my dear sister, please stop for a moment and think.

Today is Friday. Muslims are gathering in the houses of Allah. The adhān is being called. The Qur’an is being recited. The khuṭbah is being delivered. People are leaving their businesses, closing their shops, pausing their worldly activities, and making their way to the Masjid to remember Allah.

BUT WHERE ARE YOU?

Brother, what is keeping you away?

Is it your business?
Is it your friends?
Is it your phone?
Is it sleep?
Is it football?
Is it the desire to make more money?
Or have you become so attached to this Dunyā that answering the call of Allah feels like a burden?

WHAT EXACTLY IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN OBEYING ALLAH?

Allah ﷻ says:☝️☝️☝️☝️

يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا إِذَا نُودِيَ لِلصَّلَاةِ مِن يَوْمِ الْجُمُعَةِ فَاسْعَوْا إِلَىٰ ذِكْرِ اللَّهِ وَذَرُوا الْبَيْعَ

“O you who believe! When the call is proclaimed for the prayer on Friday, hasten to the remembrance of Allah and leave off business.”

📖 Qur’an 62:9📖

My brother, Jumuʿah is not just another day to relax, dress up, take pictures, meet friends, or post on social media.

JUMUʿAH IS AN ACT OF WORSHIP. IT IS A REMINDER THAT YOUR LIFE IS MOVING TOWARDS ITS END.

Have you forgotten that you will die?

Have you forgotten that your body will one day be washed, wrapped in a shroud, prayed over, and carried to the grave?

Have you forgotten that the people who sit beside you today may one day stand beside your grave and make duʿā’ for you?

And after they leave, you will remain behind.

No phone.
No business.
No friends sitting beside you.
No followers.
No worldly status.

Only what Allah wills, His judgment, and the deeds you sent ahead.

WHO WILL YOU BE WHEN YOUR NAME IS NO LONGER CALLED IN THIS WORLD?

The Prophet ﷺ said:☝️

“The best day on which the sun has risen is Friday.”

📖 Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim 854

Friday is a day of great virtue. It is a day to increase in duʿā’, send abundant ṣalāh upon the Prophet ﷺ, recite Sūrat al-Kahf according to the well-known scholarly recommendation, and attend the Jumuʿah prayer if it is obligatory upon you.

And remember this: the Prophet ﷺ warned against neglecting Jumuʿah repeatedly. He said that people must stop neglecting Friday prayers, or Allah may seal their hearts, leaving them among the heedless.

📖 Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim 865

MY BROTHER, DO NOT WAIT UNTIL YOUR HEART BECOMES HARD BEFORE YOU TAKE THIS WARNING SERIOUSLY.

And to my sisters in Islam, please listen with an open heart.

THE MASJID IS A PLACE OF WORSHIP, NOT A FASHION SHOW.

A sister who attends the Masjid should come with modesty, sincerity, and reverence for Allah. Let your intention be to worship Him, not to compete with other women for attention.

Do not let your eyelashes, makeup, perfume, clothing, pictures, or desire for admiration become more important than your relationship with Allah.

Allah ﷻ says:

وَلَا تَبَرَّجْنَ تَبَرُّجَ الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ الْأُولَىٰ

“And do not display yourselves as [was] the display of the former times of ignorance.”

📖 Qur’an 33:33

Dear sister, your worth is not measured by how many people admire your appearance. Your worth is not measured by how beautiful you look in front of others.

Ask yourself: If I am standing before Allah on the Day of Judgment, will I be pleased with the way I lived?

Do not despair of Allah’s mercy, and do not assume that a particular person’s duʿā’ is rejected because of her appearance. Allah alone knows what is in every heart. But take modesty seriously, repent sincerely, and seek to please Allah rather than people.

AND TO EVERY MUSLIM, MAN OR WOMAN: DO NOT TURN RELIGION INTO A SHOW WHILE NEGLECTING THE DUTIES ALLAH HAS PLACED UPON YOU.

HAVE YOU THOUGHT ABOUT THE LAST JUMUʿAH YOU WILL EVER SEE?

One Friday, you may wake up, dress yourself, hear the adhān, and think you have many more Fridays ahead.

But what if you never reach the next one?

What if this is your last Friday in this Dunyā?

What if the next time your family gathers is not for a celebration, but for your funeral?

What if your last opportunity to repent is passing while you are busy with things that will not benefit you in your grave?

No one knows which Friday will be their last.

And remember: the Prophet ﷺ informed us that the Hour will be established on a Friday.

📖 Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim 854

The world will not last forever. Every soul will taste death. And every one of us will return to Allah.

SO WHAT IS STOPPING YOU FROM RETURNING TO HIM TODAY?

My dear Muslim,

if you are among those upon whom Jumuʿah is obligatory, do not deliberately neglect it without a valid excuse. If you have been careless, repent and return. If you have been struggling, take the first step. If you have been far from the Masjid, let today be the day you change.

Do not wait for a funeral to remind you of death.
Do not wait for sickness to remind you of Allah.
Do not wait until you are lowered into the grave to wish you had prayed more.

THE ANGEL OF DEATH WILL NOT ASK WHETHER YOUR BUSINESS IS FINISHED BEFORE YOUR SOUL IS TAKEN.

Your name may one day be written among those who have departed this world. Your deeds will be presented before Allah. Your grave will become part of your journey into the Hereafter.

And on the Day of Judgment, you will wish you had prepared more.

May Allah guide our brothers and sisters, soften our hearts, forgive our negligence, protect us from heedlessness, make us steadfast upon Ṣalāh, and allow us to witness many more Fridays in obedience to Him.

May Allah grant us a good ending, protect us from the punishment of the grave, make our reckoning easy, and admit us into Jannatul-Firdaws.

ĀMĪN, YĀ RABB AL-ʿĀLAMĪN. 🤲🏽😭

IT IS FRIDAY. THE CALL TO ALLAH IS AN OPPORTUNITY, NOT A BURDEN. DO NOT LET THE WORLD KEEP YOU AWAY FROM THE ONE TO WHOM YOU WILL RETURN.

Calling scholars or teachers of Islam directly by their name is bad adaab. They have spent years of their life learning deen of Allah, making sacrifices we have no idea about and are now transmitting it to you. The least you can do is call them Ustadha, Ustadh, Shaykh, Shaykha.
I cringe every time I see Muslim women addressing scholars and teachers of Islam with their first names.

Another horrible trend is swearing at scholars. Even when you disagree with a scholar calling them "trash" or any derogatory name tells more about your character than abouta valid difference of opinion they hold or even a mistake they have made.

A Muslimah who has emaan and loves Allah will think multiple times before swearing, cussing or saying corrupt words, this behaviour is just unacceptable to her.

Filthy language and faith cannot co-exist

Please remember you are making two angels who pure as anything can be, the angels that are on your shoulders write this filth in your book of deeds.

If you keep using bad words every time you are angry or irritated you have a deep spiritual problem and a level of shamelessness

because you know Allah is All Hearing and All Seeing and yet you have no hayaah to utter this filth.

This sin and this transgression is multiplied manifold when you cuss at scholars of Islam.

Doing this, encouraging this and holding discussions allowing this behaviour is all sinful. Privately reach out to friends who degrade teachers of deen. Even those teachers you do not agree with.

We also cannot use slang for our Shuyook/Shaykhas (regardless of how pure our intentions is) it is a sin (Home girls - Home boys - homie - such a "G" - My Man etc..).

If you have been doing this or if you have done this repent and make serious amends.

I leave you with this beautiful reminder.

Do we treat our teachers similarly?

❝Out of my reverence for him, I used to turn pages while being seated in the presence of Imam Malik with gentleness so that he does not hear the pages turn.❞

Allah says in the Holy Qur’an:

“Indeed, Allah is with those who fear Him and those who are doers of good.”
📖 Surah An-Nahl 16:128

🤲 Ya Allah, on this blessed Friday, forgive our sins, accept our prayers, grant us halal rizq, heal our sick, ease the burdens of those struggling in silence, protect our children, strengthen our Iman, and fill our hearts with peace.

Ya Allah, remember our brothers and sisters who are suffering around the world, especially in Palestine. Grant them safety, relief, patience, and victory over their hardships.

May Allah accept our Duas, bless our families, forgive our departed loved ones, and grant us a beautiful ending with La ilaha illa Allah upon our tongues.

May this blessed Jummah bring us closer to Allah and increase our love for the Qur’an and the Sunnah.
