The moral value is to never take things too seriously, even from trustworthy people. Their words, actions, or energy might not match. It's better to set boundaries and just cut it off when your nervous system gives you a sign. Because your nervous system usually detects it first, before your brain can process it. Protect your peace.

Most people aren't unhappy because they have too little.

They're unhappy because they stopped seeing what they already have.

A healthy body.

A safe place to sleep.

Food on the table.

Someone who loves them.

Familiarity is the fastest way to become blind to a miracle.

What I am about to say is terrifying but…

Am I the only woman who, after joining this app, feels very uncomfortable and even unsafe around most men in here?

The Borrowed Voice
A little girl dropped a glass.
It slipped from her hands and shattered across the floor.
She froze.
Then, almost as if she had rehearsed it, she whispered,
I am so stupid.
Her grandmother didn't look at the broken glass.
She looked at the little girl.
Then she asked softly,
Who taught you to call yourself that?
The room became very quiet.
Because no child is born speaking to themselves with cruelty.
Somewhere along the way...
they learn the language.
Sometimes from careless words.
Sometimes from constant criticism.
Sometimes from trying to become everything everyone expected them to be.
And after hearing those voices long enough...
they begin to sound like their own.
Perhaps that is why healing is so difficult.
Not because we are learning to be kinder to ourselves.
But because we are trying to separate our own voice from the ones we borrowed.
Maybe the voice telling you that you will never be enough...
was never yours to begin with.

✍ Adapting responds to external circumstances, helping you move through situations that may only require temporary adjustment. Accepting begins with internal realization recognizing behaviors that limit your growth and choosing lasting change because who you become matters more than what surrounds you. ✨

The scroll doesn't feel like a test.

That's exactly why it is one.

Every swipe is engineered to feel effortless. Endless. Harmless. No friction, no pause, no moment where you're asked to notice what's happening.

But Allah tells us in Surah Al-Kahf (18:7):

"Indeed, We have made that which is on the earth adornment for it that We may test them [as to] which of them is best in deed."

Not most. Best.

The test was never about how much you consume. It's about what you do — with your time, your attention, your presence — while everything around you is designed to pull you away from noticing any of it.

Here's the part most people miss: this isn't a willpower problem. You can't discipline your way out of a system engineered by teams of behavioural scientists to be irresistible. I've watched this play out for years — in learners, in parents, in leaders who are exhausted and can't name why. Willpower loses to design, every time. What wins is discernment — trained, not willed.

Baseerah — insight — is the ability to see the test as a test. Not after you've lost three hours to it. While you're still holding the phone.

This is the problem I built my work to solve: not a one-off detox challenge, but a sustained practice of discernment that holds up against a world that gets better at distracting you every year. That's not a weekend fix. It's a discipline, built over months, the same way I've built every other skill I teach — slowly, with repetition, with someone walking alongside you.

That's why Baseerah in the Age of Illusion isn't a single module — it's a long-term journey. Module 1 is the beginning of a relationship, not a transaction. The people who see the most change are the ones who stay in it — through the modules, through the setbacks, through the seasons where it gets hard again.

If you've read this far and felt it land, that's not coincidence — that's your own baseerah, working right now.

🔥 This month's FireChat: Are you consuming, or being consumed?

Comment 🔥 and I'll walk you through where you are in the journey. If you're ready to go deeper — not a quick fix, but a real, sustained practice — DM me "BASEERAH" and let's talk about what a long-term journey together could look like.

I'm not building a course. I'm building a community of people who keep showing up to the work, month after month — and I'd rather have fewer people who stay than many who scroll past.

Then... slowly, I trusted him. Soon, he showed his intentions and confessed his feelings. I told him that I didn't want to just date; I wanted to be serious and get married when I met the right person. Since he is non-Muslim, I tried to set boundaries.
However, he kept trying to get close to me. Because of his actions and everything he shared, I started to open my heart to him. But everything became complicated. We had a fight and tried to solve it. Yet, before our problem was resolved, he left without any explanation. His last message to me was, 'I will reply when I can. Have a good day today.' It has been almost 9 months now, and he never came back.
The first 3 months after he left were so hard for me. I feel better now, even though I still cry when I remember him. I still don't understand his actions. It's just not like him. He once said he would never leave me and that he would make an effort. But... it was a lie... where is he?

How can I trust a man again? Even when someone looks kind, safe, and trustworthy, they can still leave and hurt you. I am trying to move on, keep walking, and continue with my life.

We don’t fall in love with people; we fall in love with the projection of our own unmet needs mapped onto them. True love only begins when the idealized image shatters, and you are forced to look at the raw, flawed human being standing in front of you. 🧠⚡
