Is there anyone here who has come out of depression?

Like a complete change from suicidal thoughts to "life is is beautiful"

I really need some tips.

I've lost all motivation to live or do something, every morning I keep lying in my bed for hours because getting up feels like too much of a burden, I have no fun doing anything, I don't feel like meeting people or even getting out of my room. I have the most amazing family and friends and I'm very grateful for it but yet they're not enough to make me want to live.

I don’t want to be impressed by someone’s words. I want to be moved by the way they treat people.

Assalamu alaikum.

I'm writing this with a heavy heart. They say sharing decreases the pain, so this is the last place where I can share what I'm carrying.

I matched with a guy. Our values, family values, and almost everything else seemed to align. He was my third match on Muzz. The other two didn't survive even a single Istikhara, but he survived so many. Whenever I had a confusion about him, I would perform Istikhara, expecting him to leave, but the next day, he would come back with even more reassurance. I even had a dream about him before Fajr. That was the moment I started thinking about him seriously.

We spoke for almost two months. He never overstepped any boundaries and never disrespected me. And as a girl who had never been in a relationship before, but had rarely experienced being treated well by a man, I noticed every tiny detail.

We talked about our deal-breakers, and whenever I asked him what his deal-breakers were, his answer was always the same.

Recently, I shared one of my traumatic experiences with him. And after that, everything shifted. He told me that I'm a very good Muslimah, but he doesn't believe that we are compatible enough because something didn't align with one of his deal-breakers—something that had never come up when we had previously discussed our deal-breakers.

I didn't argue or try to remind him of our past conversations. I simply walked away and wished him the best for his future.

I thought it might hurt for two or three days and then I would move on. Many people I've loved have left me before, so I'm familiar with this feeling. But this time, it's completely different.

It's been days, and I still can't forget him. I remember every conversation we had. Every tiny thing reminds me of him and can turn a bright day into a day of grief. I often find myself staring at the sky, asking Allah to remove him from my heart.

I pray for him day and night, asking Allah to bless him with every good thing. If Allah put these feelings into my heart, then I trust that it is upon Allah to remove them from it too.

Sometimes I feel like I'm being punished for something, a sin that wasn't even mine, yet I had to suffer for it for years. And it became even harder when I thought I had finally found someone I might be able to share that pain with.

Every day, it feels heavier.

Please pray for me, It becomes really heavy when you can't even discuss something like this with the people you love. I'm not the kind of person who shares a lot with anyone. Even with my family, it's difficult for me to open up about certain things.

And after this incident, I've started wondering,if I share my fears, my losses, and my trauma with someone, will they eventually leave me? Do i become so emotionally heavy on others with my emotional trauma!

I know these are things I am meant to carry on my own, they are mine to bear.

But right now, it's just really heavy.

Lemme teach you principles of care ..

Those who save others are often the ones silently praying that, someday, someone will save them too.

Assalamu Alaikum everyone…

If I am here today, Allah knows the reason behind it better than anyone. He knows what is hidden in my heart, what I have been through, what I have lost, and what I still hope for.

Everyone has a different definition of happiness. Some dream of a beautiful house, some of a successful career, some of a luxury car, and some of a life full of comfort and money.

But my definition of happiness is different.

I don't want a perfect woman or a perfect life. I simply pray for a pious, modest, loyal and pure-hearted wife—a woman who fears Allah, understands the value of commitment, and chooses love, respect and loyalty over material things.

I may not be the richest man, and I don't want to pretend that I am. But Alhamdulillah, I am grateful for whatever Allah has given me.

I don't need a huge house or millions in my bank account to feel successful. Give me a small home filled with peace, a wife who sincerely stands beside me, children raised with good values, and halal rizq on our table—and honestly, I would consider myself one of the richest men in the world.

Even if my income is small, I want it to be halal. I would rather earn a little with honesty than have millions that come through someone else's pain, injustice or haram.

I want to take care of my wife, respect her, protect her, support her dreams and make her feel safe with me. And all I ask in return is sincerity—a woman who cares for me, respects me, stands beside me when life becomes difficult, and doesn't walk away simply because life isn't perfect.

Because marriage, to me, isn't about finding someone who has everything.

It's about finding someone with whom you can build everything together.

I don't want a relationship where we keep counting each other's responsibilities and rights. I want a relationship where both people ask themselves, “What can I do to make my partner's life easier?”

I don't ask Allah for a life without problems. I ask Him for a partner with whom I can face those problems together.

For me, real wealth is not money.

Real wealth is a peaceful heart, halal rizq, a loyal spouse, healthy children, mutual respect, and a home where Allah is remembered.

That is the kind of life I pray for.

May Allah give every sincere person a spouse who understands their heart, appreciates their struggles, and stays beside them through every chapter of life.

And may Allah open doors for all of us that we never imagined could open.

Ameen Ya Rabbal Alameen. 🤲❤️

My thoughts on The Lindsay Clancy case:

Ummmm… he did it.

The husband framed her, got her overmedicated, had an affair while she was having one baby after another, and didn’t help her when she was clearly suffering from postpartum mental illness. She sought help, and instead, the healthcare system failed her.

She was experiencing postpartum psychosis, not just postpartum depression. There’s a big difference.

The kids were victims, but their mother was also experiencing a catastrophic psychiatric illness. She was clearly not in her right state of mind.

And honestly, the husband was a piece of shi t.
