Inna ma'al usri yusra" (Indeed, with hardship comes ease)

After many years single and healing, I’ve come to realize that the ease that comes with hardships passing is not always some miracle or something good that happens to you, but instead the loss of what was causing you pain. It could be removing yourself from a situation/person, or finding new perspectives that allow you to live your life with more ease. Just a reminder for some of us who are waiting.
We need to remember to find joy in our present despite the loneliness, this is especially true for those of us who struggle with maintaining relationships/friendships with other adults

We grow up believing in forever. We build our whole understanding of love around that one word, like if something is real, it has to last forever. But the truth I have learned, the truth that broke me before it freed me, is that nobody stays forever. Not a marriage. Not a friendship you thought would survive anything. Not even our parents, the first people who ever loved us. Someone leaves by choice. Someone leaves because life pulls them in a different direction. And someone leaves because their time on this earth simply ends. That is not pessimism. That is just life being honest with us.

I used to think real love meant holding on so tight that nothing could ever take a person away from me. Now I know that real love is loving someone fully while still remembering they were never mine to keep. People are visitors passing through our story, even the ones we build a whole life around. When you accept that, something in you settles. You stop bracing for forever and you start being present instead. And when someone does leave, and some people will, you grieve. You cry. Your heart breaks a little. But you do not shatter, because some part of you already knew this was always a possibility.

I have been learning something I can only describe as sacred detachment. It sounds cold when you first hear it, but it is the opposite. It means I love with open hands instead of a closed fist. I give my whole heart to the people in my life today, without needing a guarantee that they will still be there tomorrow. I stopped attaching my entire peace to another person, because if I lose the ability to let go, I lose myself in the process. And I refuse to lose myself for anyone.
This is something our deen actually teaches us so gently. We are reminded not to let our hearts become so consumed by people that we forget our connection to Allah is the one thing that never leaves. The Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, said love your beloved with moderation, because they may one day become someone you dislike, and dislike the one you dislike with moderation, because they may one day become beloved to you. Even in love, we are taught balance. We are taught not to lose ourselves completely in another human being, because only Allah is constant.
Your soul was given to you as an amanah, a trust, and part of that trust is taking care of yourself first. Enjoy your life. Protect your peace. Love people deeply, but hold your own heart gently too, and never build your entire existence around someone who, just like you, was never promised forever... 🍂🪾

✍️ What feels new to an individual is often something the world has already experienced.

✍️ Throughout history, countless combinations of people, actions, and events have taken place.

✍️ Understanding this helps individuals learn from the past instead of assuming every situation is unprecedented. ✨

I don't think everyone likes to be forced to do something based on their own wishes. My thinking is too narrow, the solution is to ignore it and get on with your daily life.
