We understand apologizing to Allah for our sins, that part makes sense, we fell short, we slipped, we did something wrong and we come back ashamed, but Ibn al-Qayyim says something that goes deeper than that, he says the believer should also apologize to Allah for their good deeds, not because the good deed was wrong but because even our best efforts are coming from a deficient person, our prayer has gaps in it, our charity has traces of ego in it, our ibadah is mixed with distraction, and when you really sit with that, you realize that nothing we offer Allah is truly worthy of Him, and the believer who understands this doesn't walk away from their good deeds feeling proud, they walk away feeling humble, almost embarrassed, saying ya Allah I gave you what I could but I know it wasn't enough, I know it had cracks in it, I know You deserve better than what I was able to offer, and Allah praises exactly these people in the Quran, the ones who give what they give while their hearts are full of fear that it wasn't good enough, so let this soften how you see yourself before Allah, not in a way that makes you stop doing good, but in a way that keeps you from ever thinking your deeds are something to be proud of in front of Him, come to Allah with your sins apologetically and come to Him with your good deeds the same way. 🤲🏻

If a man expects me to cook like his mother just like a pro then he should also keep me with love, care and earn like my father 😭!

Amazing stuff...for those who love their science and some history as well. He also addresses a famous hadith about the number of Prophets and a famous hadith about David. The main point made is if it is factual science...and not just theory...it wont clash with the Quran. God knows best.

If men really knew how much women pray for their naseeb, they’d never even think of raising their voices at them!!🕊️

Neeeeeeever eveeeer underestimate God. If He removes something from your life, trust that He’s preparing something far better than you could ever imagine.
