The one became many to fall in love with itself again.

We are primordially all one and there are no others.

For indeed we really did belong only to the one and to that only ONE WE ALL SHALL RETURN.

Muhammad sallalahu alaihi wasallam spoke in the language of two worlds—self and other, heaven and hell, seeker and sought. Not as a final truth, but as a map for the wandering heart.

Heaven becomes the pull of union.
Hell becomes the fire of separation.

For the sincere one, even these are not destinations, but signs along the الطريق… guiding deeper within.

And then, softly, the opposites begin to blur.

The seeker dissolves into the sought.
Heaven and hell fold into a single presence.

What began as a journey through duality reveals itself as a return—
to the primordial truth that was never divided.

Sufism isn’t something you chase across deserts or books. It’s the quiet doorway inside you, always slightly open.

Close your eyes for a moment. That stillness you feel beneath the noise, beneath the thoughts trying to impress or defend… that’s the real you. Sufism is just the art of returning there, again and again, until even “returning” disappears.

You don’t become spiritual. You remember you already are what you've forgotten.

Most of the souls I meet here who are on this path of tazkiyah seem to be either oceans away or walking through a different season of life. At times, it brings a quiet sadness, as I can sense how beautifully our values align and how easily we might have understood one another.

Yet each encounter leaves me with a gift: a deeper certainty about the kind of companion I am seeking. The wonderful people I have crossed paths with, however briefly, have only affirmed the qualities I hope to find in a partner.

So I continue to trust that somewhere, there is a heart searching for what I am searching for, and a soul making du’a for what I am making du’a for. Allah knows the longing I carry and the hope I hold for my king. May He unite us at the right time, in the most beautiful way. Ameen. 🤲🏻

“Whatever happens in your life, no matter how troubling things might seem, do not enter the neighborhood of despair. Even when all doors remain closed, God will open up a new path for you. Be thankful! It is easy to be grateful when all is well. A Sufi is thankful not only for what he has been given but also for all that he has been denied.”

Where are the enlightened Muslims? I see sad Muslims, bitter Muslims, hopeless Muslims, contentious Muslims, lonely Muslims. Many people bow their heads in prayer but how many do you personally know who exhibit a true sense of joy, wisdom, and bliss? Who understand the rules but don’t apply an overly legalistic framework that reduces religion to a set of do’s and don’t’s and the assertion of their rights? Who meditate and have a sense of calm and tranquility about them?

Most people get the impression that Sufism is just another sect in Islam.

But its actually just the idea that the real world is inside you. If you're also into the world that resides within you and have a quiet mind and love honest conversations. If you get that, we’ll get along.
