I always do istikhara whenever I enter in a dialogue. The pattern is, they last 3 months max. Why it takes that long to unravel a chameleon only Allah ta'ala knows. My last dialogue left me disheartened. Something died in me then Allah ta'ala gave me the strength to do a project. I am going to be a Founder and CEO this year, insha'Allah ta'ala. I've already done a very long istikhara about it. How long does your dialogues last after an istikhara?
