Assalamualaikum everyone 😂💔

I want to share something that still makes me laugh and cry at the same time. 😭😂

About two months ago, I matched with a girl. Everything seemed fine, and she asked me to meet her family. I thought, “Wow… maybe this time Allah has finally written someone for me.” ❤️

So I went to her house with a serious heart, full respect, and marriage intentions. I met her father, and after looking at me for a while, he said:

“Sorry, son… I can’t let my daughter marry you.” 😐

I asked, “Uncle, why? What did I do?” 😭

He said, “Beta, you are just too tall. You look like a tower 🗼. My daughter’s height is normal, but your height is too much.” 😂💔

I swear, for a few seconds I didn’t know whether I should cry or laugh. 😂😭

I thought to myself, “Uncle, I came here to ask for your daughter’s hand, not to become a landmark in your city!” 🗼😂

Then I asked him, “Uncle, if my height was the problem, why didn’t your daughter tell me before?”

He said, “Sorry, beta.” 😭

And there I was… standing there like a rejected Wi-Fi tower. 🗼😂💔

The funniest part is that I never chose my height! Allah made me this way. What was I supposed to do? Cut off two feet before meeting the family? 😂😭

Honestly, I was smiling in front of them, but inside my heart was saying, “Brother… we travelled all this way just to get rejected because of HEIGHT?” 💔😂

I can accept someone saying, “You’re not the right person for me.” That’s life. But being rejected because I’m too tall was something I never expected. 😔

So please tell me honestly, my friends…

What exactly was my fault? 😂😭

Should I have gone to the meeting wearing a helmet and crouching down?
Or should I have told her father, “Uncle, don’t worry… I can bend down when I enter the house.” 😂🗼💔

Du’a for a new day and month
Ya Allah,
as we enter this new month, we ask for Your protection, Your mercy, and Your blessings.
Make it a month of ease
after difficulty, relief after worry, and happiness after sadness.
Accept our duas, forgive our sins, and guide us on the path that pleases You.
Ameen

Rabbi Yassir Wala Tu'assir
O my Lord!
Make it easy for me, and do not make it difficult
for me.
O my Lord!
Grant me success
and do not make me fail.
O my Lord!
Bless me with goodness wherever I am
and open for me the doors of Your mercy.
Protect me from worries, relieve me from stress,
and fill my heart with peace and contentment.
You are enough for me, so I place my trust in You and leave all matters to Your wisdom.
Ameen Ya’Rabil’Alameen

The objective of the marriage can be way more noble... like if Allah blessed us with a child we will raise him in such a way that he might become another Salahuddin Ayubi.
Did anyone met any man or woman of similar views?

Insha’Allah, one of my long-term dreams, maybe 10–15 years from now, is to return to my family’s hometown in Oaxaca, Mexico, and help spread the message of Islam throughout the region.

Where my family is from is predominantly Indigenous, and there is essentially no Islamic presence in the area. Catholicism became deeply established following the Spanish conquest and colonization. During that period, some of our ancestors’ Indigenous temples and ceremonial structures were destroyed, their stones and materials were reused to construct Catholic churches and other colonial buildings, and in some places Christian structures were built within or over Indigenous sacred and ceremonial sites.

You can still see that history throughout Oaxaca today—the ancient Zapotec, Mixtec and other Indigenous archaeological and sacred sites alongside the Catholic institutions that arrived through Spanish colonization.

One of my long-term goals is to return to that region and spread the word of Islam, particularly among rural Indigenous communities that may have had little or no exposure to it. I want to do this respectfully—sharing the message, providing resources, answering questions and giving people the opportunity to learn about Islam for themselves.

This is a long-term goal, but it is something I genuinely intend to pursue, Insha’Allah. Does anyone have any advice or experience with something like this? How would you go about introducing Islam and eventually establishing a Muslim community in an area where there is currently essentially no Islamic presence or mosque?

Any tips, resources or guidance would be greatly appreciated. Insha’Allah, perhaps one day a Muslim community can grow there.

Is marriage written or do you choose your partner. Cause if marriage is a test , it has to be chosen . So that you can’t blame Allah for your poor decision in selecting a partner for yourself

Sorry to say but people treat divorce like they are breaking up with their girlfriend or boyfriend. They take marriage like they are in an affair with each other . They want to play cat and mouse with each other . Can’t take responsibility and fight over silly matters . If you can’t swallow your ego like honey , you’re not ready to get married. There will be misunderstandings fights , silence and awkward moments but you have to realize it’s marriage that’s how they are naturally. In dating culture people show you what they want to show . You don’t get the bigger picture of what he or she is like until you settle with each other. Keep your expectations and reality in check cause you’re about to get a huge turbulence if you think marriage is like in the movies . It’s not , it’s about getting up in the morning and still choosing to be with that person through thick and thin .
