Salam everyone. I am currently conducting some community research on Muslim marriage dynamics, specifically looking for insights from brothers and sisters residing in the Netherlands:

We often see 'willing to relocate globally' or 'open to distance' written on matrimonial profiles. But let's talk about the real-world reality versus the bio.If you match with someone who might not check every single box on paper, but once you start talking, you realize you genuinely like each other and have amazing chemistry—does geography still get in the way? What is your immediate, instinctive reaction? Do you genuinely give it a chance, or is your first response to pull back because 'it’s just too far'?

Let's have an honest conversation about the gap between what we write on our profiles and how we actually act. For the Netherlands community, does the comfort of living here outweigh global relocation, or are you truly open to moving across borders once a real connection is made? Or willing to wait out for the right person to make their move towards you.?
