Why is it so hard to find a girl who genuinely wants to build something real with me? Something meaningful that starts with getting to know each other, grows into love, and eventually leads to engagement and marriage. Not just another talking stage that ends after a few weeks, or a relationship that means nothing in the end.
I know I’m young, and I’m only 21, but I genuinely believe that you don’t have to wait until you’re older to start building something meaningful with someone. I think these years can be some of the best to grow together, learn about each other, support each other’s dreams, and become better people along the way.
I’m not looking for perfection, and I don’t expect anyone to have their whole life figured out. I just want someone who’s willing to put in the effort, communicate honestly, stay when things aren’t perfect, and choose to work through problems instead of walking away at the first inconvenience.
I want the kind of relationship where we’re not afraid to talk about the future, where we can be best friends as much as we are partners, laugh at the dumbest things, have deep conversations at 3 AM, and feel safe enough to be completely ourselves around each other.
I want something that has a purpose. Someone I can fall in love with not just for who she is today, but for the person she’s becoming. Someone who wants to build a life together, one step at a time, until one day we can look back and realize that all those little moments were the beginning of our forever.
Maybe I’m old-fashioned for thinking this way, or maybe I’m just looking for something that has become harder to find these days. But I’d rather take my time finding something genuine than keep getting involved in relationships that have no direction.
I’m not asking for a perfect love story. I just want something real, mutual, and lasting. Is that really too much to ask for?
