Today, around 6-7 pm, I went to Jama Masjid with my sister. A board at the entrance said women are not allowed after Maghrib. The guard told me I could go in, but the women with me could not. I felt this was unfair and discriminatory, and I asked him why my sister was being stopped. He had no clear answer. He argued with me and said that the Sahaba and the Quran instruct women to pray at home. My sister was not allowed inside.
