i’m not sure how many people are aware, but in scarborough, just a day or two ago, a brother in the community passed away due to a motorcycle accident.

i didn’t know this brother at all, nor do i know his family, but since hearing about his passing, i haven’t been able to stop thinking about him. during every salah, somehow, my mind goes back to him. there’s a heaviness in my heart that i can’t quite put into words, especially because i never knew him. it makes me wonder why allah keeps bringing him to my mind, and part of me feels that perhaps it’s a reminder to make dua for him, to ask allah to have mercy on him and to remember him at a time when he can no longer ask for himself.

from what i’ve heard, he was a young hafiz who was deeply involved in the community, subhan’allah. may allah swt grant him jannatul firdaus, expand and illuminate his grave, and grant his family sabr and ease.
