When people mention in their profile that they're "born and raised in Canada/US/UK" or something along those lines, I assume that they're looking for someone who was also born and raised in the west.

I skip these profiles. I'm likely limiting my already limited options. Trying to avoid situations where I match with someone like this only for them to later on tell me that they're looking for someone raised in the west. My profile mentions where I was raised, but surprisingly, some people still go ahead and like my profile only to bring it up shortly after.

Do you think my approach is flawed?
