I have a genuine question about modern marriage expectations. If asking for dowry is considered wrong, why is it sometimes acceptable to reject a sincere, religious and respectful man simply because he does not have enough money? Financial responsibility is important, but so are honesty, loyalty and moral values. Shouldn't both men and women be judged by the same standards? I am not saying money does not matter; I am asking whether we have started giving it too much importance.
