Matched with someone on Muzz who shared her profile. It mentioned:

"We have 30 acres of land, so the person I marry should also have 30 acres."

I replied honestly:
"We have 10 acres, and around 3 acres will eventually be mine."

Her response was:
"My father will give me more than that, so you can't afford me." And she

That got me thinking...

Why are we judging a 24-year-old by the assets they already own instead of their character, ambition, education, work ethic, and potential?

Most people in their early 20s are still building their careers and creating their future. Very few have inherited or accumulated significant wealth at that age.

Marriage shouldn't be treated like a balance sheet where family wealth decides someone's worth. Respect, compatibility, values, and the willingness to build a life together should matter far more than how many acres someone's family owns.

Am I the only one who feels this mindset is becoming too common?
