You don’t need to impress everyone.
You don’t need to be perfect.
Just be genuine, keep growing, and never lose your kindness.

The right people will appreciate you for who you truly are. 🤍✨

So, I started talking to a girl. We told our families about each other, and everything was going well. My parents went to meet her family, and everything seemed fine. Then her parents came to my house, and everything was still okay.

After that, her family insisted that we should have a formal engagement ceremony and officially finalize the relationship. We agreed, and the ceremony was done. Everything was officially settled.

By the way, I have diabetes, and everyone in the girl’s family already knew about it. They had said that it wasn’t an issue and that they had no problem with it.

Then, after everything was finalized, her parents came again and said they wanted to see the room where I would be living. At that time, the condition of my room wasn’t very good because I was planning to completely renovate it before the wedding. There was also an entire upper portion of the house that was empty, and I was planning to renovate that as well and live there after the marriage.

Her parents just took a quick look around and left. Later, they called and said that they didn’t like the house and wanted to cancel the relationship.

We asked them what the actual issue was. We explained that the room was going to be renovated anyway, and that the entire upper portion was empty and could be renovated and made into a proper living space for us.

But her father said that their daughter couldn’t live there, and they cancelled everything.

They were basically from the Islam Pura side and were from a very simple background. Her father worked with iron/metal. I’m not saying anything bad about anyone’s profession or background, but their own house was around 3.5 marla, whereas ours is 8 marla. I also live in Iqbal Town, in one of the main areas of Lahore.

I honestly don’t know what happened. Everything was going perfectly fine, the families had met, the engagement was done, and everyone knew about my diabetes. Then suddenly, they cancelled the whole thing because they didn’t like the house.

I guess my luck is just really bad. 😭

Looking to meet someone new for good conversations, random talks, a little teasing and lots of laughs 😄 I’m 29, easy-going and from Pakistan. Not looking to rush anything—bas achi vibe aur genuine conversation ho. Agar kisi ko bhi casual, respectful friendship aur daily chats pasand hain, feel free to say hi 🙂”

Can a marriage work beautifully if two people have completely opposite interests but the same core values?
