Recently, I matched with and our conversation was going really well. She had been working in Bangalore for the past two years and mentioned that she didn’t want to continue working after marriage, which I completely respect as a personal decision.
As we discussed our expectations for married life, I asked who would manage the cooking. She preferred hiring a chef. I then asked about household responsibilities, and she said she’d rather have a maid for all the chores. When I asked how she envisioned spending her day, she said she would simply wait for me to return from work so we could relax together. She also envisioned a lavish wedding with a Sabyasachi lehenga and a grand banquet hall.
At that point, I realized our values and expectations for marriage were fundamentally different. I believe marriage is built on partnership, shared responsibility, and meaningful contribution from both spouses, whether through a career, managing the home, or a balance of both.
This wasn’t about who was right or wrong. It was simply a reminder that compatibility is determined by shared values, not just good conversations.

Salamalikum,
Stepping a little out of my introvert comfort zone here. I don't really have a social circle in Bangalore, and I'd like to change that.
If anyone's interested in grabbing a coffee, playing badminton, exploring food spots, or just hanging out and having good conversations , let me know. Always happy to meet new people and make genuine connections, In Sha Allah.

Assalamualaikum!!
I feel I might have given a few people the wrong impression with my previous post about flat hunting. Let me make a few things clear.
Me asking for help does not give you the opportunity to take advantage of the situation by bothering me with marriage proposals.
If I’m providing you with my contact information, it is for the sole purpose of helping me find a flat. It is not an invitation for small talk or an opportunity to change my relationship status.
Video calling me and pestering me is crossing a line. Know your limits and respect other people’s boundaries.
It never occurred to me that some men would stoop so low as to take advantage of someone who is simply asking for help. Do you really think anyone would ever ask for your help again after this? Can you not help someone just for the sake of helping? Do you always need to get something in return?
How shameful. I’m genuinely disgusted by this behaviour.

Assalamualaikum everyone! 🌸
This post is a little cry for help. 🥹
I recently moved to Bengaluru for my new job. While I’m not completely new to the city, it’s so vast that I’ve ended up in an area I never expected to live in—and finding a decent flat has been much harder than I imagined.
Unfortunately, I’ve realised that many owners seem to have certain preferences when renting out their homes. As a single Muslim woman, that has made the search quite challenging.
I’m hoping someone in the community might be able to help me with any leads or recommendations.
Looking for: 1 BHK or 2 BHK
Preferred locations: Mathikere, RT Nagar, Malleshwaram, Ganga Nagar, New BEL Road, Ashwath Nagar, or anywhere within a 5 km radius of Raman Research Institute.
If you know of any available flats, or if your apartment or neighbourhood has vacancies, I’d be incredibly grateful if you could let me know.
JazakAllahu Khairan for your help and duas. May Allah reward you abundantly. 🤍
